The project’s objective is to invest in the expansion and upgrading of Ca Mau Airport to facilitate the operation of A320, A321, and equivalent aircraft. This development aims to boost the economic and socio-cultural growth of Ca Mau Province while also ensuring national defense and security. The Vietnam Airports Corporation (VAC) is the project’s investor, with an estimated investment of VND 2.4 trillion, utilizing 100% of VAC’s equity capital.

The project entails constructing a new 2,400-meter-long and 45-meter-wide runway, capable of accommodating A320, A321, and similar aircraft. It also includes building a 128-meter-long and 15-meter-wide taxiway connecting the runway to the apron, along with five additional taxiways on standby. The apron in the southern area will measure 182 meters by 112.5 meters, with a 5-meter wide material shoulder, accommodating three parking positions for A320, A321, and equivalent aircraft.

The terminal’s construction area is approximately 2,668 square meters, with a total floor area of around 4,200 square meters, featuring two stories and a building height of about 9.5 meters.

Additionally, several auxiliary works will be constructed, including a connecting road between the new apron and the passenger terminal, an external parking lot, an emergency and fire rescue station, a security fence, and a synchronized ring road.
