Vietnam’s Government Inspectorate Concludes Inspection in Three Government Bodies
Mr. Hoang Hung, Head of Department I, in charge of Inspection, Settlement of Denunciations and Complaints in the Economic Sector (Department I of the Government Inspectorate), presided over the announcement.
At the announcement, the inspection team presented the full text of Inspection Conclusion No. 361/KL-TTCP, No. 362/KL-TTCP, and No. 363/KL-TTCP, dated September 30, 2024, by the Chief Government Inspector on the inspection of the responsibility for performing official duties by officers, civil servants, and public employees in handling administrative procedures and providing public services to the people and businesses in the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, the Ministry of Transport, and Dong Nai province.
Accordingly, alongside the achievements in the performance of official duties by officers, civil servants, and public employees in handling administrative procedures and providing public services to the people and businesses in the three bodies, the inspection conclusions also pointed out some existing shortcomings, limitations, and weaknesses, such as delays in issuing plans to cut and simplify administrative procedures, tardiness in receiving and responding to feedback and suggestions from the people and businesses, failure to conduct separate inspections on the responsibility of officials in handling administrative procedures, etc.
At the announcement of the inspection conclusions, Deputy Minister of Natural Resources and Environment Tran Quy Kien, Deputy Minister of Transport Nguyen Danh Huy, and Director of the Dong Nai Department of Home Affairs Nguyen Huu Dinh sincerely thanked the Government Inspectorate and the inspection team for their fairness and objectivity during the inspection process and acknowledged the achievements of the ministries, sectors, and province in performing official duties in handling administrative procedures and providing public services to the people and businesses.
In addition, the inspection team pointed out the shortcomings and limitations in the performance of official duties by officers, civil servants, and public employees in handling administrative procedures and providing public services to the people and businesses in the ministries, sectors, and localities.
Request to Seriously Implement the Recommendations in the Inspection Conclusions within the Specified Timeframe
Representatives of the ministries, sectors, and Dong Nai province agreed with the content of the inspection conclusions and affirmed that they would seriously direct their units to strictly implement the conclusions. They also expressed their hope for continued support and sharing from the Government Inspectorate during the process of implementing the conclusions and pledged to submit comprehensive reports to the Government Inspectorate within the specified timeframe.
At the announcement of the inspection conclusions, Mr. Pham Minh Thanh, Head of Division 1, Department of Supervision, Evaluation, and Post-Inspection Handling, requested that the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, the Ministry of Transport, and Dong Nai province formulate plans to implement the inspection conclusions and seriously implement the recommendations within the specified timeframe.
Concluding the announcement of the inspection conclusions, Mr. Hoang Hung, Head of Department I of the Government Inspectorate, emphasized that the announcement was conducted in accordance with legal regulations.
The Head of Department I appreciated the resolute and serious direction of the units in implementing the inspection conclusions, especially the immediate implementation of many aspects during the inspection process.
Mr. Hoang Hung, Head of Department I, requested that within 10-15 days, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, the Ministry of Transport, and Dong Nai province direct the immediate implementation of the contents of the recommendations in the inspection conclusions. For contents that cannot be immediately implemented, the units need to issue plans for early implementation, including assigning leading and coordinating units, setting timelines, and reporting to the Government Inspectorate in the first quarter of 2025.
