Previously, according to the approval decision of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment in December 2023, the Suntory Pepsico Long An project had an approximate capacity of 796 million liters/year.

This is SPBV’s sixth factory project, with a total investment of 300 million USD, built on an area of 20 hectares in the Huu Thanh Industrial Park, Duc Hoa district, Long An province. The factory is known as the most modern and large-scale production facility of the beverage industry leader in the Asia-Pacific region.

According to SPBV, during the project implementation, to better meet market demands and optimize production capacity, the company decided to transfer four production lines from the plant in District 12, Ho Chi Minh City, to the new plant.

Two carbonated soft drink production lines (199 million liters/year) are expected to be installed in 2025, while two Aquafina bottled water production lines (249 million liters/year) will be installed in 2026. As a result, the total project capacity increased from 796 million liters/year to over 1.24 billion liters/year.

The report also stated that the new lines in Long An province will be installed gradually according to the schedule in 2025 and 2028.

Currently, the project is in the construction phase, including foundation work and the installation of auxiliary works for the construction phase, such as the administration building, sanitation facilities, and waste storage areas…
