The People’s Committee of Can Tho City has decided to revoke the detailed planning for the Con Au Villa Area at a scale of 1/500 in Hung Phu Ward, Cai Rang District, due to the expiration of the planning and its incompatibility with local management requirements.
The 1/500 planning for the Con Au Villa Area was approved in early 2019, with a land area of over 22 hectares and a total investment cost of approximately VND 3,453 billion.
Initially, the Con Au Villa Area was part of the Con Au Golf Course and Villa Project, invested by Vinpearl Joint Stock Company, and the 1/500 planning was first approved in 2016. However, the Can Tho People’s Committee later separated the project into two independent projects: the Con Au Golf Course Project and the Con Au Villa Project.
While the Con Au Golf Course Project has been implemented by Vinpearl, the Con Au Villa Project has not selected an investor before the revocation of the planning.
Recently, Can Tho has consecutively revoked a series of detailed planning at a scale of 1/500 in the area due to the expiration of the planning period, including the An Hoa Ward Urban Area (43 hectares); the 19-hectare Thoi Binh Residential Area; the International Exhibition and Fair Center of Can Tho in Cai Khe Ward, Ninh Kieu District; the Nguyen Van Cu Urban Area in An Binh Ward, Ninh Kieu District, and more.
