Prime Minister Welcomes Qatar Group’s Investment in World-Class Sports Complex in Hanoi
In the afternoon of October 31, during his official visit to the State of Qatar, the Prime Minister met with Mr. Amir Ali Salemi, CEO of International Investment and Consulting Group (JTA), in the capital city of Doha.
At the meeting, Mr. Amir Ali Salemi shared that JTA is an international financial investment group, providing financial solutions to businesses and iconic projects worldwide. Its subsidiaries operate in various fields, including energy, construction, innovation and technology, tourism and transportation, healthcare, agriculture, and food security.
In Vietnam, JTA is collaborating with T&T Group to explore investment opportunities, including an agreement to research investment in a sports complex project in Dong Anh, Hanoi.
In response, the Prime Minister welcomed the investment plan for the sports complex in Dong Anh, as Hanoi, with its population of around 10 million, lacks a world-class and iconic sports complex. He hoped that the construction of this complex would contribute to meeting the needs of the capital’s residents, and emphasized the importance of efficient operations and accompanying services for its long-term sustainability.
The JTA Director shared his passion for football. The Prime Minister agreed that the people of Vietnam also love this sport and suggested that JTA and related parties explore developing a top-tier football club in Vietnam.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the Prime Minister witnessed the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between T&T and JTA for the sports complex project in Dong Anh.
What will be the scale of the Dong Anh, Hanoi sports complex project?
T&T Group and JTA plan to collaborate on the development of an international-standard multi-purpose sports complex and a themed park, an entertainment and amusement park (modeled after Disneyland), with a total area of 330 hectares and an estimated total investment of US$4.5 billion.
The project will be located in Dong Anh district, Hanoi, and will consist of two main components: a sports complex and a themed park.
The sports complex is envisioned to be built to Olympic standards, with an estimated total investment of US$1.3 billion. It will include world-class sports facilities, with a modern and prestigious stadium as the focal point.
The themed park and amusement park complex is planned to have a total investment of US$3.2 billion. It will include themed parks and entertainment areas modeled after the world-famous Disneyland.Â
The project is expected to become the largest-scale Disneyland in Vietnam and a top entertainment and leisure destination for domestic and regional visitors.
According to the signed agreement, JTA will be primarily responsible for arranging the finances and capital for the project’s implementation. T&T Group, together with JTA, will propose the selection of consultants, research ideas, planning, design, management, operation, and completion of legal procedures in accordance with Vietnamese and international laws.
Mr. Do Vinh Quang, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of T&T Group, shared that the complex will incorporate advanced and modern technologies, including green technology, and will meet the standards for hosting Olympic-level sports events, contributing to enhancing the position of Vietnam and its people in the region and internationally.
