Admiring the beautiful city of Da Nang from a Flycam’s perspective offers a unique and captivating view.

After nearly 50 years of liberation, Da Nang has risen from a province-level city to a prominent destination, establishing its brand not only domestically but also on a regional and global scale. The local government and its people are tirelessly working towards solidifying the city’s reputation as a “Must-Visit” and “Livable City.”

In the city’s nearly half-century journey of development, one of the most notable aspects is the speed and vision in urban planning. Da Nang is synonymous with “The City of Bridges,” boasting “Billion-Dollar Roads,” “The World’s Most Beautiful Beach,” and serving as the driving force for the growth of the Central-Highlands region.

From a small town nestled on the banks of the Han River, Da Nang has expanded its urban space four to five times, now adorned with iconic structures that embody the city’s dynamism, creativity, and the vibrant spirit of its people.

Da Nang, known as the “City of Bridges,” holds a special significance as each bridge marks an important milestone in the city’s development over the past half-century.

Despite the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic and global economic downturns in recent years, Da Nang has consistently risen above, reinventing itself and creating significant development milestones. A notable example is the city’s investment in the Phase 1 construction of the Software Park 2 Project, totaling over VND 980 billion. This project is expected to provide approximately 6,000 direct jobs in information technology and digital technology fields.

In early 2024, Da Nang inaugurated three major transportation projects: the upgraded and renovated DT601 road, the DH 2 road project, and the Phase 1 of the Western Belt Road 2. These dynamic infrastructure projects play a crucial role in boosting the economic and social development of the western area of the city.

Most recently, on August 30, the Da Nang People’s Committee inaugurated the “Upgrading, Embellishing the City’s Memorial and Expanding the March 29 Square” project, with a total investment of over VND 212 billion. Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Mr. Le Trung Chinh, Chairman of the Da Nang People’s Committee, shared that the Memorial is one of Da Nang’s symbols, reflecting the city’s beautiful tradition of honoring the nation’s heroes and martyrs and embodying the indomitable spirit and revolutionary tradition of the heroic land of Quang Nam – Da Nang.

During a working session with the Da Nang City Party Committee on September 1, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh emphasized the city’s growing affirmation of its role, position, and importance as a growth pole for the Central-Highlands and the entire country. He stressed the need for comprehensive, harmonious, rapid, and sustainable development.
