At the talks, Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman expressed his delight in welcoming Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and warmly congratulated Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh on his participation and speech as the main guest of the FII8 Conference.

The Crown Prince and Prime Minister affirmed that Vietnam’s involvement, a representative of dynamic economic development in Asia, opens up new opportunities for investors and makes an important contribution to the success of the conference and the region’s development strategy.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh congratulated Saudi Arabia on its achievements in gradually realizing Vision 2030, enhancing the country’s role and position in the Middle East and the world.

On this occasion, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh conveyed the greetings and invitations of General Secretary To Lam, President Luong Cuong, and Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Thanh Man to King Salman bin Abdullaziz and invited Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud to pay an official visit to Vietnam at a convenient time.

The Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Mohammed Bin Salman, sincerely thanked the Vietnamese leaders for their greetings to King Salman bin Abdullaziz and affirmed that he would visit Vietnam soon.

In a friendly, open, and sincere atmosphere, the two Prime Ministers highly appreciated the remarkable development of bilateral relations between Vietnam and Saudi Arabia in the past 25 years and agreed to closely cooperate to take the countries’ relationship to a new height.

Based on this, the two leaders agreed to promote the exchange of delegations at all levels, especially high-level delegations, both bilaterally and on the sidelines of multilateral forums; to make economic cooperation the main pillar of bilateral relations, to make Saudi Arabia one of the leading investors in Vietnam, and to aim to increase bilateral trade to over 10 billion USD by 2030.

The two leaders agreed to identify the “future cooperation” pillar of the two countries as innovation, green transition, and digital transformation; to make education, tourism, and people-to-people exchange the solid foundation of the relationship between the two countries, and to continue to closely coordinate and support each other on regional and global issues in international forums, especially at the United Nations, to limit risks, enhance dialogue and cooperation for peace and development in the region and the world.

Based on this, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh encouraged Saudi Arabia to invest in strategic and breakthrough fields and projects in Vietnam.

The Prime Minister also proposed considering building a crude oil and petrochemical products transshipment and storage center in Vietnam for export to Southeast Asian markets.

At the same time, Vietnam’s potential in developing the Halal industry should be tapped, considering it a key task to contribute to Saudi Arabia’s food security and explore Vietnam’s potential Halal market. He also suggested connecting the two countries’ innovation hubs, coordinating the organization of international technology exhibitions, cooperating in building an innovation ecosystem in Vietnam, and sharing experiences in establishing an international financial center in Ho Chi Minh City.

The Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia agreed with the proposals of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and requested that the two sides direct the relevant ministries to continue discussions to concretize the proposed cooperation and realize the bilateral cooperation potential.

On this occasion, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh requested that the Crown Prince, Prime Minister, and relevant agencies of Saudi Arabia create favorable conditions for the Vietnamese community living and working in Saudi Arabia to integrate into the locality, actively contribute to Saudi Arabia’s development, and foster friendly cooperation between the two countries. The Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia affirmed that they would create favorable conditions for Vietnamese workers to stabilize their lives in Saudi Arabia.

During the talks, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh instructed the ministers in the delegation to immediately promote exchanges with their Saudi Arabian counterparts to concretize the results of the discussions between the two Prime Ministers.
