Mr. Cao Tran Duy Nam and Mrs. Tran Thi Thanh Van – Novaland’s New Deputy General Directors

Novaland’s Board of Directors has appointed Mr. Cao Tran Duy Nam and Mrs. Tran Thi Thanh Van as Deputy General Directors of the company, effective November 15, 2024. These appointments are part of the company’s ongoing efforts to strengthen its management team and play a crucial role in Novaland’s transition, restructuring, and execution of plans and strategies for the next phase.
With over a decade of dedication to Novaland, Mr. Nam and Mrs. Van are seasoned professionals who have made significant contributions to the company’s development, especially during the restructuring phase. Their expertise spans across various domains of the real estate industry, including finance, investment, supply chain management, and bidding.
The Board of Directors places great trust in Mr. Nam and Mrs. Van, conferring them with expanded responsibilities to foster Novaland’s sustainable growth. In their new roles, they will leverage their extensive experience to drive the company’s success.
Most recently, Novaland’s Board of Directors appointed Mr. Duong Van Bac as the company’s new General Director effective November 1, 2024, succeeding Mr. Dennis Ng Teck Yow, a Malaysian businessman. Mr. Dennis Ng Teck Yow will now focus on his role as a Member of Novaland’s Board of Directors.
Prior to his appointment as General Director, Mr. Bac served as Novaland’s Deputy General Director and Chief Financial Officer. He brings over 17 years of experience in finance and real estate, with a specialization in capital raising, investment, and valuation. Mr. Bac joined Novaland in August 2023 and was appointed as Deputy General Director in September 2024.
The current Chairman of Novaland’s Board of Directors is Mr. Bui Thanh Nhon, who also chairs the NovaGroup ecosystem.
In terms of financial performance, Novaland reported a remarkable surge in profit, earning over 3.1 thousand billion VND in the third quarter of 2024, an eighteenfold increase compared to the same period in 2023. However, the company incurred a loss of over 7.2 thousand billion VND in the first half of the year, resulting in a net loss of 4.1 thousand billion VND for the nine-month period.
