Introducing the second hospital in the Sun Group’s comprehensive Healthcare service system, the Sun Hospital in Phu Quoc Island is set to open in December 2025. This new medical facility follows the first Sun Hospital in Hanoi, which opened its doors in June 2024. With a vision to meet the healthcare needs of locals and tourists alike, Sun Hospital Phu Quoc will offer premium medical services, embracing the trend of health tourism.

The inauguration ceremony of Sun Hospital Phu Quoc was held on the morning of November 16.

Spanning over 10,000 square meters in An Thoi Ward, Phu Quoc City, Kien Giang Province, the architectural design of Sun Hospital Phu Quoc draws inspiration from the Hue Imperial City and the Southern folk house style. Reminiscent of historical structures like the Thai Y Vien during the Nguyen Dynasty, the hospital’s layout incorporates dispersed blocks with open garden spaces, creating a welcoming and nature-friendly ambiance. More like a resort than a traditional hospital, Sun Hospital Phu Quoc offers patients a relaxing and energizing experience, connecting them with the healing power of nature.

With six floors and a total floor area of 19,000 square meters, Sun Hospital Phu Quoc will be equipped with state-of-the-art machinery and a team of leading domestic and international medical experts and consultants. Aiming to provide high-quality healthcare services and peace of mind to tourists and long-term residents of the island, the hospital will focus on key specialties such as Pediatrics, Cardiology and Stroke Prevention, Intensive Care, Dentistry, Aesthetics, and Comprehensive Health Checkups.

In addition to offering a wide range of dental services that cater to “a corner of a person,” Sun Hospital Phu Quoc will also develop two specialized departments: International Standard Comprehensive Health Checkups and Aesthetics. This will position Phu Quoc as an ideal destination for health and beauty tourism, offering attractive packages for tourists combining relaxation with health checkups and aesthetic treatments.

The hospital also plans to have dedicated departments for geriatric care and cardiovascular-related illnesses, including Cardiology and Stroke Prevention. This is considered a significant advantage for Sun Hospital Phu Quoc, as the island has been ranked the second most appealing island in the world by Travel & Leisure. It is a sought-after destination for retirees looking for extended vacations or a peaceful place to spend their golden years in a pristine, sunny environment.

Mr. Tran Minh Khoa, Chairman of Phu Quoc City People’s Committee, delivered a speech at the ceremony.

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Mr. Tran Minh Khoa, Chairman of the Phu Quoc City People’s Committee, expressed his confidence in the hospital’s contribution: “While we have made significant investments in the healthcare system in Phu Quoc, our capacity remains modest. With the launch of the Sun Hospital Phu Quoc project, we expect that the hospital will help meet the medical needs of locals and domestic and international tourists. It will instill confidence in visitors, assuring them of a safe and enjoyable vacation, retirement, or long-term stay on the island.” Mr. Khoa also acknowledged the invaluable support and dedication of enterprises like Sun Group, which has not only developed and enhanced the region’s world-class tourism ecosystem but also contributed to the improvement of public infrastructure in the city, meeting the increasing demands of residents and tourists.

Mr. Bui Thanh Trung, Chairman of Sun Group Southern Region, delivered a speech at the ceremony.

Mr. Bui Thanh Trung, Chairman of Sun Group Southern Region, shared, “Sun Hospital Phu Quoc, together with the tourism, resort, and entertainment ecosystem that Sun Group has been developing on the island, will contribute to unlocking the city’s potential. We are committed to making Phu Quoc a leading destination for high-quality tourism and resort services, as well as a regional and international hub for commercial, healthcare, and high-tech wellness services.”

This project not only fulfills the group’s aspiration to enhance the quality of life for Vietnamese people through its comprehensive Healthcare service system but also elevates the island’s appeal, solidifying its reputation as a desirable destination, a great place to live, and a wise investment choice.
