According to PhoneArena, LG Innotek, Apple’s camera supplier, has commenced mass production of camera modules for the iPhone SE 4. This suggests an official launch date of around March 21, 2025, based on LG’s component stockpiling history.

Breaking away from previous generations, the iPhone SE 4 promises to deliver significant upgrades. The rear design is expected to mirror the iPhone 16, featuring a vertical camera arrangement, while the front boasts a substantial 6.1-inch display.

In comparison to its predecessors, the SE 4’s screen size is notably larger, increasing by 1.4 inches from 4.7 to 6.1 inches. With its sleek bezels and expanded screen real estate, the iPhone SE 4 not only exudes elegance but also offers a more immersive viewing experience.

The most prominent feature of the upcoming affordable iPhone is the camera, which has been upgraded from 12 to 48 megapixels—a significant leap. LG Innotek, as the primary camera provider, stands to benefit the most from this enhancement.

Apple may also introduce new features on this budget model, such as Night Mode and cutting-edge AI capabilities.

The iPhone SE 4 will be the first in the SE series to sport an OLED display, although Apple is reportedly seeking to cut costs by utilizing BOE’s older-generation OLED technology.

Apple is renowned for releasing new iPhone SE models every few years to optimize component costs and maintain attractive price points. While the latest iPhone starts at $799, the SE line typically retails for around $499, offering impressive performance at a more affordable price.
