Similarly, Mitsubishi Attrage also offered a 50-100% registration fee discount, with savings ranging from 25-38 million VND depending on the model.
Mazda 2 currently has a suggested retail price ranging from 408 million VND to 544 million VND, with five model options including both sedan and hatchback variants. Thanks to the manufacturer’s 50% registration fee discount, the on-road price of the Mazda 2 in November 2024 will be reduced by 20 to 32 million VND, depending on the model and local registration area.
Honda City: Minor Discounts, Solidifying its Third Position
Currently, Honda’s B-segment sedan is also being discounted by dealers by 5-10 million VND depending on the model. Since September, Honda has adjusted the retail price of this line, significantly reducing it by 40-60 million VND, resulting in the current price range of 499-569 million VND. With the new retail price, this factor has helped City gain momentum in the segment. As of September 2024, the cumulative sales of this model reached 6,071 units.

With a starting price of 439 million VND, the lowest in the group, the Hyundai Accent not only benefits from the reduced registration fee policy but also receives additional dealer discounts ranging from 5-7 million VND. In September 2024, Hyundai Accent sales recorded impressive growth with 1,290 units sold, a 38% increase compared to the same period in 2023.

In November, Toyota Vietnam introduced an attractive promotion for all Toyota Vios models, offering a 50% reduction in registration fees, saving customers between 23-27 million VND. In addition, dealers also provided additional support, resulting in customers benefiting from a 100% registration fee discount. With this B-segment sedan, customers could save a total of 46 to 54 million VND, depending on the model.
In October 2024, the Toyota Vios sold 1,557 units, bringing its cumulative sales to 10,369 units. With this special promotion, the Vios not only reinforces its strong position in the sedan segment but also expands its market share by attracting new customers. It is predicted that this model will finish the year 2024 in the number one position.
