WORLD-CLASS STADIUM AND VIETNAM’S FIRST DISNEYLAND
On October 31, in Doha, Qatar, leaders of the T&T Group and the International Investment and Consulting Group JTA (Qatar) met with the Prime Minister of Vietnam, Pham Minh Chinh, to report on their plan to invest in a multi-purpose sports complex and a themed park and amusement park (modeled after Disneyland) in Dong Anh, Hanoi.
At the meeting, the Prime Minister welcomed the investment plan, especially considering that Hanoi, with its population of nearly 10 million, lacks a world-class, iconic sports complex. He expressed his hope that the construction of this complex would contribute to meeting the needs of the city’s residents and that its operation would be efficient, with accompanying services to ensure long-term sustainability.
In the presence of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, the T&T Group and JTA signed a memorandum of understanding for cooperation in researching and investing in the development of the multi-purpose sports complex and the themed and amusement parks (modeled after Disneyland).
The project will cover an area of 330 hectares and is expected to cost around $4.5 billion. It will consist of two main components: a sports complex and a themed park. The plan includes constructing a sports complex that meets Olympic standards, with an estimated investment of $1.3 billion, featuring world-class sports facilities, highlighted by a state-of-the-art, world-class stadium.
The development of the themed and amusement park complex is estimated to cost around $3.2 billion. It will include themed parks and amusement areas modeled after the world-famous Disneyland. The project aims to become the largest-scale Disneyland in Vietnam and a top entertainment destination for locals and tourists in the region.
As per the agreement, JTA will be primarily responsible for arranging the finances and capital to execute the project.
T&T Group and JTA will jointly propose the selection of consultants, research ideas, planning, design, management, operation, and completion of legal procedures in accordance with Vietnamese and international laws.
According to Mr. Do Vinh Quang, Vice Chairman of T&T Group, the collaboration between T&T Group and JTA aims to create and develop a modern, world-class sports and entertainment complex based on successful models worldwide. The complex will incorporate advanced and green technologies, meeting the standards for hosting Olympic-level sports events, thereby enhancing the prestige of Vietnam and its people in the region and internationally.
“This project will not only promote sports and enhance the social and cultural life of the people but also open up economic and tourism development opportunities for Hanoi in particular and Vietnam in general,” affirmed Mr. Do Vinh Quang. “It will also contribute to a solid foundation for cooperation between Vietnam and Qatar in the fields of sports and infrastructure, positively impacting the friendly relations between the two nations.”

DETERMINATION TO RAISE NATIONAL SPORTS TO INTERNATIONAL STANDARDS
The T&T Group is known for its pioneering role in the socialization of sports in Vietnam. They founded Hanoi Football Club and led them from the third division to become the most successful professional football club in Vietnam, with six national championships, three National Cups, and a record five Super Cups.
Hanoi Club has a professional youth training system, contributing coaches and athletes to the national teams at various age levels, including young talents who helped the U23 Vietnam team achieve the historic feat of becoming runners-up at the 2018 AFC U-23 Championship in Changzhou, China.
T&T Group has also been quietly investing in table tennis for nearly 20 years, with the aim of bringing Vietnamese table tennis to the continental level. Mai Ngoc and Anh Hoang, two athletes from the Hanoi T&T Table Tennis Club, ended a 26-year gold medal drought for Vietnam in table tennis by winning the gold medal in the men’s doubles event at the 32nd SEA Games.
In May 2024, T&T Group became a member of the CAND Sports Association, contributing to the establishment of the CAND-T&T Table Tennis Club. Shortly after its formation, the CAND-T&T Table Tennis Club has consistently achieved outstanding results in domestic competitions.
