On November 19, VinFast officially delivered 8 VF 9 electric SUVs to its first customers in Los Angeles, USA.

The VinFast VF 9 is offered in two trim levels in the US, with prices starting at $69,800 for the Eco version (approximately VND 1.77 billion) and $73,800 for the Plus version (approximately VND 1.87 billion). These prices include a direct discount of $3,500 and a down payment of $2,000.

As part of a limited-time promotion for the first 100 VF 9s delivered in the US, VinFast is offering qualified lessees the Plus version at a monthly lease price of $529 (approximately VND 13.5 million). The first batch of deliveries will start with the Plus version, followed by the Eco version a few months later.

“We are thrilled to officially hand over the VF 9, VinFast’s second e-SUV model in the US market. The VF 9 is one of the few 7-seater, 3-row electric SUVs on the market. We believe the VF 9 will be the ideal vehicle for large families, offering premium quality and a luxurious experience while maintaining exceptional value”, said Mike Nolte, Vice President of VinFast US Sales Network.

The VF 9 comes with a comprehensive warranty package that includes 10 years or 125,000 miles for the vehicle, along with 24/7 support and mobile service.

The two trim levels do not differ significantly in terms of driving capabilities, as they share the same type of battery and motor.

The main differences lie in the additional interior comforts offered in the Plus version, such as ventilated massage seats, heated second-row seats, memory functions for the seats and steering wheel, a rear-seat entertainment system, a panoramic sunroof, and a subwoofer. The Plus version also features fog lamps and turn signals.

The vehicle has an estimated EPA range of 291 miles (468 km) for the Plus version and 330 miles (482 km) for the Eco version. The Plus version is also about 100 pounds heavier and offers a “captain’s chair” configuration.

According to the Southern California Business Director: “With the upcoming holiday season, a time for family reunions and gatherings, we believe the VinFast VF 9 is the perfect family vehicle, so we decided to time the deliveries accordingly.”

One of the first customers to receive the VF 9 shared that they chose this model because of its competitive pricing compared to offerings from Rivian and Tesla.

VinFast currently has 15 showrooms and 4 service centers in California and partnerships with 36 dealers across 15 states nationwide. Previously, the VinFast VF 8 also recorded impressive sales, with over 1,200 units sold in Q2 2024.
