Delegate Thach Phuoc Binh proposes a retirement age extension for exceptional educators.
Proposal to Extend Retirement Age for Outstanding Educators
During discussions on retirement regulations and extended service duration outlined in Articles 30 and 31 of the draft Law on Educators, Delegate Thach Phuoc Binh from Tra Vinh Province offered his perspective. He suggested that the policy of early retirement without pension deductions only applies to certain groups, potentially creating inequality among educators.
The provisions regarding extended service duration do not adequately consider the needs and aspirations of educators across different educational levels beyond higher education. Consequently, some talented educators may not have the opportunity to continue contributing, while their successors might not be adequately prepared.
The delegate proposed expanding the scope of the early retirement policy without pension deductions to include educators from all educational levels and challenging regions.
Additionally, he suggested considering extended service not only for professors, associate professors, and doctors but also for educators with exceptional teaching achievements.
