Ho Chi Minh City Tax Department has just issued an administrative fine of VND265.2 million and collected over VND1.2 billion in value-added tax, personal income tax, and corporate income tax from the Central Veterinary Medicine Joint Stock Company Navetco (VET).

This was due to the company’s incorrect declaration, resulting in an underpayment of value-added tax, corporate income tax, and personal income tax for 2023. VET also failed to issue invoices when selling goods and providing services to buyers, violating the Law on Tax Administration.

The Ho Chi Minh City Tax Department also administratively fined the An Giang Vegetable and Foodstuff Joint Stock Company’s Ho Chi Minh City Branch VND11.5 million for late submission of tax declaration dossiers.

SmartMind Securities Company also violated tax procedures and was administratively fined by Ho Chi Minh City’s tax industry for over VND7 million.

The Tax Department of Ba Ria – Vung Tau province issued a decision to administratively fine the Construction and Urban Development Joint Stock Company of Ba Ria Vung Tau Province (UDC) VND6.5 million for incorrect declaration, resulting in underpayment.

As a remedy, UDC was subject to tax collection of over VND1.3 billion by the tax authority and a late payment penalty of VND984 million. In total, UDC was fined and collected more than VND2.3 billion.
