This meaningful activity is part of the program “Cà Mau Fertilizer – Hands-on Techniques – Overcoming Difficulties Now” to support Northern farmers in rebuilding their agricultural production and stabilizing their lives.

On November 20, PVCFC, in collaboration with the local government of Tam Duong district, Lai Chau province, organized the program “Cà Mau Fertilizer – Hands-on Techniques – Overcoming Difficulties Now” at the Tam Duong Cultural Center.

The program donated 25 tons of fertilizer and directly instructed 500 disadvantaged households in Lai Chau province on “Effective Cultivation with Cà Mau NPK Fertilizer.” Especially, to respond to the call of the Presidium of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee on the emulation movement of “Eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses,” PVCFC also presented three charity houses to poor households in Lai Chau province, worth 80,000,000 VND each.

With these gifts, PVCFC aims to contribute to improving the locals’ lives, motivating them to overcome immediate difficulties, and soon stabilizing their lives, bringing more lasting and prosperous values to society and the country.

The firm handshakes and bright smiles of the locals also showed how much PVCFC’s gifts were valued and meant to their lives.

One of the three charity houses built this time was given to a 14-year-old girl, Lo Thi Thoan, from Phieng Chang hamlet, Nong He commune, Sin Ho district, Lai Chau province. At an age when she should only focus on studying like her peers, Thoan has to take care of her three younger siblings: one in grade 8, one in grade 7, and the youngest in grade 3.

Thoan was born into a family with seven siblings. Her parents separated, and two older sisters are now married. A boy in grade 5 lives with his father, while Thoan and her three sisters were brought to Lai Chau by their mother to live in a simple stilt house with only a bed and a few thin blankets. The walls were made of old wooden planks and bamboo, with gaps in between. Worn and torn green and red tarpaulins were used to shield the house from the harsh mountain weather.

Due to financial difficulties, Thoan’s mother had to leave for Hanoi to work as a laborer, doing any job she could find. She sent home 50,000 to 100 thousand VND per month, if she could. The four sisters used this meager amount to support their lives and studies. They grew vegetables and relied on the kindness of neighbors and acquaintances for food. Sometimes, they didn’t have enough rice to eat for several days. During heavy rains, cold snaps, and bitter cold, the sisters could only hold each other in worry, praying for peace. They depended on each other to get through each day.

Connected by the local authorities, the PVCFC team sponsored the construction of a new house with solid foundations, frames, and roofs for the four sisters. They will no longer have to endure heavy rains, strong winds, and bitter cold but will live in a sturdy and safe house.

Moved by their situation, a PVCFC representative gave Thoan cash and essential goods such as rice, sugar, salt, and cooking oil.

PVCFC hopes that these gifts will help the four sisters live more peacefully and encourage them to strive for a brighter and more prosperous future through education.

When informed by the local authorities about receiving gifts from PVCFC, Thoan was excited and eager. She and her uncle traveled over 100km to attend the program early in the morning. Overwhelmed with emotion, she whispered her thanks. “This amount of money is huge for me; I’ve never had this much before. We even have to save our rice for the next meal,” Thoan shared.

PVCFC and the program “Cà Mau Fertilizer – Hands-on Techniques – Overcoming Difficulties Now” will continue this warm and meaningful journey, bringing dreams and hopes to hundreds of thousands of farmers in 12 provinces/cities in Northern Vietnam: Thai Binh, Nam Dinh, Ninh Binh, Thanh Hoa, Thai Nguyen, Son La, Hoa Binh, Hung Yen, Hai Duong, Nghe An, Lang Son, and Hanoi.

With the goal of creating sustainable and prosperous value, Cà Mau Fertilizer is committed not only to providing comprehensive nutritional solutions for crops through high-quality fertilizer products that meet farmers’ diverse needs but also to pioneering in social responsibility activities. We closely monitor and timely support farmers with the spirit of “mutual support,” “helping the needy,” and “Leaving No One Behind.” We aim to contribute tangibly to the sustainable development of Vietnamese agriculture.
