All 17 trains on Metro Line 1 have received their inspection stamps, marking a crucial step towards the line’s commercial operation commencing on December 22.
On November 22, the Ho Chi Minh City Urban Railway Management Authority (MAUR) announced this information.
According to MAUR, the Metro Line 1 project has completed 100% of its construction work. The authority, in collaboration with the Urban Railway One-Member Limited Liability Company, is actively preparing for the line’s operation, which includes training, inspection, handover, and operational management.
MAUR is also focusing all its resources on addressing key tasks and resolving any remaining issues with the project.
Earlier, the People’s Committee of Ho Chi Minh City issued a decision on ticket prices for Metro Line 1.
For passengers paying in cash, the ticket price ranges from VND 7,000 to VND 20,000, depending on the distance traveled. Those using cashless payment methods will enjoy a slight discount, with prices ranging from VND 6,000 to VND 19,000.
Monthly passes are available at VND 300,000 for regular passengers and VND 150,000 for students. Individuals with disabilities, those over 60 years old, and children under 6 years old are exempt from ticket fees.
