The FLC Quang Binh Beach & Golf Resort project (FLC Quang Binh) was commenced in 2016, spanning nearly 2,000 hectares across Hai Ninh commune (Quang Ninh district) and Hong Thuy commune (Le Thuy district).

This integrated complex features a string of 5-star hotels, a collection of resorts, golf courses, a semi-wildlife zoo, a walking street, a marina, restaurants, bars, a large-capacity spa system, villas, and premium commercial townhouses.

The highlight of FLC Quang Binh is its chain of interconnected international-standard golf courses. The total investment for this complex is approximately VND 20,000 billion, and it was expected to be completed by 2020.

However, during the groundbreaking ceremony on April 24, 2016, a commotion caused by local residents of Hai Ninh commune halted the proceedings. This disruption also led to an interruption in the construction of the FLC complex.

FLC Quang Binh is envisioned to be an international-class resort complex.

In 2020, the only completed structures within this mega-project were the two 36-hole golf courses, while most other items remained unfinished due to Quang Binh province tightening legal procedures.

In 2021, FLC once again demonstrated its determination to advance the construction of the FLC Quang Binh complex by commencing work on the FLC Grand Hotel Quang Binh. This hotel comprises two 12-story buildings, offering over 500 rooms that adhere to 5-star standards, along with the FLC Quang Binh International Convention Center, which can accommodate nearly 1,200 seats and features versatile function rooms.

However, in March 2022, Mr. Trinh Van Quyet, Chairman of FLC Group, was arrested for stock market manipulation, causing construction on the FLC Quang Binh complex to be interrupted once more. At the time of Mr. Quyet’s arrest, the FLC Grand Hotel Quang Binh had only reached the eighth floor, and construction has resumed to achieve the original 12-story design. The goal is to top out before the Lunar New Year of the Year of the Snake.

An FLC Group leader revealed that this time, the FLC Quang Binh project restart would not involve simultaneously working on numerous components as in previous attempts. Instead, the focus is on completing the 5-star hotel.

According to this leader, the investment capital for FLC Quang Binh on this occasion is self-financed by the FLC Group and does not involve bank loans or any other financial backers.
