Following the announcement of Mr. Luu Dinh Tuan’s passing, the former Chairman and Legal Representative of the company, on November 22, just before the company’s Extraordinary General Meeting, 911 Group Joint Stock Company (stock code: NO1) has recently announced his replacement.
Specifically, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thom has been appointed as the new Chairman of the Board and Legal Representative of the Group for the remaining term of 2020 – 2025, effective from November 23.
Regarding the new Chairman of 911 Group, Ms. Thom is the sister-in-law of Mr. Luu Dinh Tuan. Last October, Ms. Thom sold off more than 600,000 NO1 shares, accounting for over 2.5% of the capital.
Ms. Thom had previously resigned from her position as a member of the Board of Directors of 911 Group in June due to her inability to allocate time for the assigned tasks. Prior to that, the NO1 management also relieved her of her duties as Deputy General Director.
In the recently published document, 911 Group also announced the appointment of Mr. Nguyen Manh Hai and Mr. Nguyen Xuan Thanh as Vice Chairmen of the Board for the remaining term of 911.
Previously, the company attracted attention with its plan to cooperate with VinFast to deploy a taxi service under the brand name “911 taxi.”
The goal is to develop 200 vehicles by the end of 2024 and expand to more than 2,200 vehicles by the end of 2025. In the initial phase, the service will be launched in Dong Nai and Binh Duong provinces, followed by a rollout to other regions.
In late October 2024, the company signed a contract for the purchase and leasing of vehicles with VinFast, with a total value of VND 45 billion. The implementation is expected in Q4 2024.
911 Group (911 GROUP.JSC) was formerly known as 911 Foundation Equipment Joint Stock Company, established on March 22, 2011. Its main business activity is wholesale of machinery, equipment, and machine parts.
911 Group successfully went public and became a public company with a charter capital of up to VND 240 billion. The company was officially listed on the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange (HoSE) in Q2 2022.
Mr. Tuan, born in 1979, served as the Chairman of the Board of 911 Group since 2011 and held 5 million NO1 shares, equivalent to 20.83% of the capital.
In terms of financial performance, 911 Group’s revenue for Q3 2024 reached over VND 226 billion, a 13% decrease compared to the same period last year. After deducting expenses, the after-tax profit was nearly VND 5 billion, an increase of 26%.
For the first nine months of the year, the company achieved a revenue of VND 672 billion, a 63% increase, and an after-tax profit of over VND 19 billion, a significant 211% surge compared to the same period in 2023, surpassing the full-year plan.
