VinFast VF 3 has made an impressive start, breaking records in the Vietnamese automobile market with nearly 28,000 orders in just 3 days of opening deposits.
This mini electric car model has only recently been delivered to customers since August 1st. After more than 3 months of delivery, the small electric car model of the Vietnamese car brand continues to prove its popularity in the market.
Since its launch, social media users have discovered a series of VF 3 models posted by their owners with “painfully beautiful” license plates that have surprised many people.
These license plates are considered beautiful according to folk beliefs, such as progressive, quintuple, quadruple, god of wealth, and lucky numbers, with values up to billions of VND, leading many people to affectionately call VinFast VF 3 the ‘new king of beautiful license plates’.
Recently, on a website for buying and selling beautiful license plates in Ho Chi Minh City, a white VinFast VF 3 with the license plate number 333.33 was advertised for sale at a price of nearly 5 billion VND. Compared to the actual value of the VinFast VF 3 battery rental version, which is 240 million VND, the selling price of this car is 20 times higher.
According to the auction organization’s website, this license plate has gone through 2 auctions, once in January and once in April 2024. The initial auction price was 8.35 billion VND, comparable to the price of a Lexus LX570 (8.34 billion VND), but the second auction was only 3.9 billion VND. Despite the decrease, this is still an extremely high number as the license plate cost is 16.25 times the cost of the car (battery rental version).

What surprised the online community even more was that this car was resold with a markup of nearly 1 billion VND after the successful license plate auction (the car is currently being resold for nearly 5 billion VND).
The above case is not the only VF 3 with an expensive license plate, as social media users have spotted many other cars with beautiful license plates that are worth several times the actual value of the car.
At a recent VinFast VF 3 festival held in Hanoi on November 16 and 17, a photo of a VinFast VF 3 with a very beautiful license plate was shared.
This license plate is considered a lucky number, symbolizing wealth and prosperity according to the Sino-Vietnamese reading. The image shared on social media has not been clearly verified, and the actual value of this license plate is still unknown.
However, many people believe that this lucky number license plate will have a significant value. Previously, a license plate with a similar lucky number was successfully auctioned for 1.405 billion VND.
Social media users have also spotted several other VF 3 cars with lucky number license plates, and the value of these plates is also “not to be taken lightly.”
After the quintuple and lucky number, the progressive number is also favored and sought after by many people. A progressive number means that the numbers increase from left to right, signifying unceasing progress, a happy ending, and a fulfilling life.
For example, a VinFast VF 3 owned by Mr. Hieu in Hanoi attracted a lot of attention from the online community due to its extremely beautiful license plate: 012.34.
When searching for this license plate in the auction repository, its value is up to 255 million VND.
In the license plate auction repository, there are two license plates, 30M – 012.34 and 30L – 012.34, that were successfully auctioned for 225 million and 255 million VND, respectively. Regardless of which license plate the owner of the VF 3 owns, the auction price is considered comparable to the value of the car itself.
Another progressive number license plate found by online users is valued at more than 500 million VND.
According to the auction repository on the website of the organizing unit, this 345.67 license plate on the VF 3 has gone through two auctions. The first auction was in April 2024, with a price of 600 million VND, and the second auction was in September 2024, with a price of 540 million VND. The value of this progressive number license plate is 300 million VND higher than the value of the battery rental version of the car.
Previously, in Thanh Hoa, the VinFast VF 3 with the license plate number 36A-997.99 also impressed many people. It is known that the owner had to spend up to 300 million VND to own this license plate.

The VinFast VF 3 is the second electric mini car model launched in the Vietnamese market.
The car’s dimensions are 3,190 x 1,679 x 1,622 mm (length x width x height), with a wheelbase of 2,075 mm and a ground clearance of up to 191 mm.
The most notable highlight is the 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system, which supports Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity. This specification even surpasses the screens of some B-segment cars on the market.
Other notable features include a 2-speaker audio system, manual air conditioning with dust filtration, electronic parking brake, and a camping mode.
The VinFast VF 3 is powered by an electric motor mounted at the rear wheel, producing 43.5 horsepower and 110 Nm of torque. The 18.64 kWh battery pack provides a maximum range of 210 km per charge according to the NEDC standard. Charging time from 10-70% takes only 36 minutes.
Currently, VinFast offers the VF 3 battery rental version at a price of 240 million VND. The version with a purchased battery is priced at 322 million VND. For the VF 3, customers can choose to rent a battery on a monthly basis, with a cost of 900,000 VND for a distance of less than 1,500 km or 1.2 million VND for a distance of 1,500-2,500 km.
