The State Bank of Vietnam has announced today’s central exchange rate between the Vietnamese dong and the US dollar at 24,248 VND/USD, a decrease of 5 dong compared to yesterday.

With a 5% margin, commercial banks are allowed to trade within a range of 25,460 VND/USD for the ceiling and 23,036 VND/USD for the floor.

The reference buying price for USD at the State Bank of Vietnam remains at 23,400 VND/USD. Meanwhile, the selling price has been maintained at 25,450 VND/USD since October 25th.

In the banking channel, there have been mixed movements in USD buying and selling prices today.

The selling price of USD at banks today decreased by 5 dong compared to yesterday’s listing and was all posted at the ceiling of 25,460 VND/USD.

Meanwhile, except for Vietcombank, which adjusted downwards, the buying price of USD at other banks was increased, with a common increase of 10-66 dong.

At the beginning of today’s trading session, Vietcombank listed the buying price of USD in cash at 25,090 VND/USD, a decrease of 5 dong compared to the beginning of yesterday’s trading session (November 4th).

On the other hand, BIDV increased the buying price of USD by 26 dong compared to the previous morning, bringing the rate to 25,151 VND/USD. Similarly, VietinBank also raised its buying price to 25,151 VND/USD, an increase of 36 dong, at the start of today’s session.

In the private banking sector, the buying price of USD has also been adjusted upwards by several banks.

Techcombank increased its buying price of USD by 66 dong compared to the previous morning, reaching 25,162 VND/USD.

Sacombank’s buying price for USD is now at 25,120 VND/USD, a 20 dong increase from the previous morning. 

ACB has also raised its buying price for USD in cash to 25,120 VND/USD, 30 dong higher than yesterday’s opening.

Eximbank has increased its buying price for USD in cash to 25,090 VND/USD, 10 dong higher than the previous day.

In the free market, USD rates remain stable. Foreign currency exchange points in the free market this morning traded USD at a common rate of 25,780-25,880 VND/USD (buy-sell), unchanged from the previous session.
