Embracing and promoting a new and challenging sport, Mr. Nguyen Hoang Giang, Chairman of DNSE Securities, shared his passion for the tournament and DNSE’s “dream.”

From Tra Co, Quang Ninh (2022) to Phan Thiet (2023), and now to Vung Tau, DNSE Aquaman takes athletes to new destinations each year. What’s new about this year’s tournament compared to the previous two seasons, sir?

Aside from the competition, the destination is also a significant factor in attracting athletes. Vung Tau offers mountains, forests, and beautiful beaches, making it an ideal location for a swim-run event. It’s a place that any athlete would love to experience. The running route is along the beach on one side and a pristine forest on the other, while the swimming segment will feature a unique twist with spectators cheering directly from Hamptons Pier, Vietnam’s only bridge designed for sea viewing. This will undoubtedly add excitement and stimulate the athletes’ competitive spirit.

The organizers are working diligently to finalize the preparations for the event in Ho Tram, paying meticulous attention to every detail, from the technical aspects to the side activities. Another new feature is allowing the use of swimming floats during the competition, encouraging first-time participants to confidently conquer the Ho Tram sea.

We aspire for DNSE Aquaman Vietnam to become a leading swim-run event in terms of technical quality, a symbolic playground for the aquathlon discipline, and a top priority in the annual competition calendar for athletes.

This year, we’ve also invested more in side activities, including an outdoor music stage with renowned singers and DJs, treating the athletes to a mesmerizing musical feast. I believe that bringing the tournament to Vung Tau will inject a vibrant new energy into this coastal region.

Instead of opting for separate running or swimming events, why did DNSE choose to organize a more challenging multi-sport event combining swimming and running?

It’s heartening to see that the running movement has gained tremendous momentum and enthusiastic support from people of all walks of life. It took running about ten years to reach this level of popularity. In contrast, the aquathlon has only been introduced to Vietnam in the last three to four years.

Many amateur athletes have been drawn to multi-sport events as they offer new, exciting, and appealing challenges. Among these, the swim-run combination is the most accessible for them to try, as it doesn’t require a substantial financial investment, and training is relatively convenient. In fact, numerous aquathlon groups and clubs have emerged to cater to this growing demand. Not only amateur but also professional athletes are attracted to this discipline, with some switching from their primary sport to multi-sport events. I believe that swim-run has the potential for long-term growth.

Aquathlon holds long-term development potential.

From DNSE’s perspective, we always aim to foster and promote sports, especially those that are pioneering and beneficial to the community. While aquathlon is more accessible than other multi-sport disciplines, it still caters to a niche audience. Taking on the challenge of aquathlon represents a meaningful endeavor for athletes and runners, pushing them to break through their limits and embark on a journey of self-discovery. Developing the aquathlon movement won’t happen overnight, and we at DNSE are committed to doing our part in bringing this sport to a wider audience, creating a platform for amateur athletes to test their mettle and providing a high-quality competition for professionals to hone their skills.

The message, “The Race of Dreams,” resonates strongly with DNSE and the tournament. Could you elaborate on these inspiring messages?

At DNSE, we always prioritize the keyword “pioneering.” Our journey at DNSE has been marked by a breakthrough in recent years, attributed to our pioneering spirit in technology, customer engagement approaches, and more.

Being a pioneer enables us to seize new opportunities. The DNSE Aquaman Vietnam tournament is also a pioneering initiative in the field of aquathlon in Vietnam. As this discipline is still relatively unknown, the athletes participating in the event are trailblazers, creating a new wave of excitement and embracing the thrill of stepping out of their comfort zones. I, too, participate in swim-run events, and these are the emotions I experience and believe others share as well.

Mr. Nguyen Hoang Giang and DNSE aim to spread the message of pursuing dreams through the tournament.

In sports, passion alone is not enough; it requires perseverance and dedicated training to sustain long-term participation and achieve results. Setting goals and maintaining discipline will help you go the distance. This principle applies to our field of investment as well. Only through discipline, perseverance, and a relentless pursuit of your dreams can you triumph in the market and attain financial prosperity. I believe this is a valuable lesson from sports that transcends into other aspects of life, and it’s a message that DNSE strives to impart to the community.

How does DNSE embody this spirit? I understand that DNSE has a vibrant sports culture. Could you elaborate on that?

At DNSE, we share a common dream: to “simplify investing” through technology. We constantly remind ourselves to be resilient and improve daily to turn our goals into reality. Creating ordinary trading products wouldn’t be exciting, nor would it give us a competitive edge. By choosing to develop pioneering, innovative, and market-first products, we face significant challenges. But we firmly believe that consistent small efforts will lead us to success.

When we overcome seemingly insurmountable obstacles and launch groundbreaking, superior products, the feeling is akin to the exhilaration of conquering the longest aquathlon distance. This sense of achievement washes over us when we introduce features like enabling investors to pool money to purchase stocks or using AI to provide personalized investment recommendations based on their investment behavior.

Goals come with pressure, but I’m proud that we’ve maintained a youthful and energetic atmosphere at DNSE through collective activities and sports. Sports unite us and provide undeniable health and mental benefits.

DNSE fosters a vibrant sports culture.

The swim-run movement within DNSE is thriving, and this year, we’ve witnessed a doubling in the number of employees participating in the DNSE Aquaman Vietnam tournament. Many are taking on the shortest distances for the first time, marking their initial “obstacle-filled” steps, which is highly encouraging and worthy of celebration. Just as we persist in creating new products, we know that consistent training will eventually lead to conquering the aquathlon distances. I’m proud that sports have become an integral part of DNSE’s culture.

Thank you for your time and insights, sir!
