The People’s Committee of Dong Nai province has approved a competition to select the best proposal for transformingsection converting Bien Hoa Industrial Zone 1 into an urban, commercial, and service area in An Binh ward, Bien Hoa city.

According to the released regulations, the competition will consist of two rounds: Round 1 (pre-selection) and Round 2 (selection). Round 1 will be announced publicly, inviting reputable and experienced planning and architectural design consultantssection consultants from Vietnam and abroad to participate.

Qualified design consultantssection consultants will be invited to participate in Round 2, where they will be provided with detailed information on the requirements and given six weeks to develop and submit their planning and architectural proposals as per the organizer’s timeline. The selection board will then choose up to 10 proposals for evaluation.

The total prize pool for the competition is VND 2.3 billion. This includes a first prize of VND 900 million, a second prize of VND 500 million, and a third prize of VND 200 million. Additionally, the organizing committee will provide a support fund of VND 100 million to one participating unit.

The aim of this competition is to select the best planning proposal that maximizes the potential of the land in the Bien Hoa Industrial Zone 1, transforming it into an urban, commercial, and service area. It also aims to determine the location and scale of the province’s political and administrative center, ensuring seamless infrastructure connectivity with the existing urban center and creating riverside squares and parks.

The selected planning proposals will be considered for inclusion in various planning dossiers. They will also serve as a basis for developing a 1/500 detailed planning section for the province’s political and administrative center and for proposing investment policies and architectural competitions for the center.

The scope of the competition covers the entire existing boundary of Bien Hoa Industrial Zone 1, spanning approximately 324 hectares.
