At the end of August 2022, BVH underwent a leadership change with the simultaneous dismissal of its Chairman, Dao Dinh Thi, and General Director and Board member, Do Truong Minh.
Mr. Dao Dinh Thi had served as Chairman of the BVH Board for nearly eight years and officially left his position as Chairman and Board member of the Group on August 24, 2022. The reason for his departure was that he was no longer the authorized representative of the State capital in Bao Viet.
Similarly, Mr. Do Truong Minh also stepped down from his position as Board member and General Director of Bao Viet Holdings.

At that time, Ms. Tran Thi Dieu Hang, a Board member, was assigned to oversee the Board while the position of Chairman was vacant. Mr. Nguyen Dinh An, a Board member and General Director of Bao Viet Fund Management Company, was appointed Acting General Director.
After more than two years without a permanent Chairman, on November 27, 2024, the BVH Board decided to appoint Ms. Tran Thi Dieu Hang, a Board member, as Acting Chairman of the Board from November 27, 2024, until a new Chairman is appointed.
Mr. Nguyen Dinh An assumed the role of Vice Chairman of the BVH Board from November 27.

Instead, the BVH Board appointed Mr. Nguyen Xuan Viet, a Board member, as Acting General Director of Bao Viet from November 27 until a new General Director is appointed.
Ms. Hang holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration and has 26 years of experience in the insurance and accounting industries. She previously worked at the Department of Management and Supervision of Insurance (Ministry of Finance) as Head of the Market Development Division and Head of the Management and Supervision Division for Non-Life Insurance.
Mr. Nguyen Dinh An holds a Master’s degree in Economics and Finance and has 16 years of experience in finance and investment. He has held several senior positions within the Bao Viet ecosystem, including Member of the Board of Members, Acting General Director of Bao Viet Fund Management Company, and Head of the Secretariat and Synthesis Department of the Bao Viet Operations Management Block.
Mr. Nguyen Xuan Viet has a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and 27 years of experience in the information technology and insurance industries. Mr. Viet is currently the Vice Chairman of the Board of Members of Vietnam National Reinsurance Corporation (HNX: VNR).

As of November 20, 2024, BVH has two major shareholders holding 87.09% of its capital. The Ministry of Finance holds 65% (corresponding to more than 482.5 million shares), and Sumitomo Life Insurance Company holds 22.09% (corresponding to more than 163.9 million shares). In addition, SCIC holds nearly 2.98% of the capital.
Representatives of the Ministry of Finance’s capital ownership in BVH include Ms. Tran Thi Dieu Hang, Acting Chairman (18% of capital), Mr. Nguyen Dinh An, Vice Chairman (17%), and Mr. Nguyen Xuan Viet, Acting General Director (15.01%). Mr. Kazuhiko Arai, a Board member, represents the 11.05% capital ownership of strategic shareholder Sumitomo Life.
