With an absolute majority of 100% of the delegates present, Mr. Hoang Van Nghiem was elected by the Provincial Party Committee as the Secretary of the Lang Son Party Committee for the 17th term, for the 2020-2025 tenure.

Mr. Hoang Van Nghiem was elected as the Lang Son Party Secretary, replacing Mr. Nguyen Quoc Doan, who was recently approved by the National Assembly upon the proposal of the Chief Justice of the Supreme People’s Court of Vietnam, to be appointed as a Judge of the Supreme People’s Court.

Mr. Hoang Van Nghiem, born in 1968, is an ethnic Tay native of Binh La commune, Binh Gia district, Lang Son province. He holds a Master’s degree in Economics, a Bachelor’s degree in Economic-Political Theory, and a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce. He also possesses advanced political theory qualifications. Prior to this role, Mr. Hoang Van Nghiem served as the Permanent Vice Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Council, and Head of the Provincial Delegation of the National Assembly in Lang Son province.

Mr. Dong Van Thanh, Vice Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee of Hau Giang, has been elected by the Provincial Party Committee as the Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee.

Mr. Dong Van Thanh, born in 1969, is a native of Phong Dien district, Can Tho city. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology and advanced political theory qualifications. He has previously served as the Chief of Office of the Hau Giang Party Committee; Vice Chairman and Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee of Hau Giang.

At the 14th Hau Giang Party Congress for the term 2020-2025, Mr. Dong Van Thanh was elected as the Vice Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee. Subsequently, he was elected by the Provincial People’s Council as the Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee.
