The construction of the new Political-Administrative Center and Conference and Performing Arts Center in the North Cam River Urban Area (Thuy Nguyen District, Hai Phong City) commenced in 2023, with a total investment of nearly VND 5,000 billion from the city’s budget.

After nearly two years of construction, the two projects, considered the new symbols of Hai Phong City, are nearing completion.

The new Political-Administrative Center has a total investment of VND 2,500 billion. This project is vital for Hai Phong City’s development towards the north of the Cam River. This area is currently Thuy Nguyen District and will become Thuy Nguyen City from January 1, 2025.

The new Political-Administrative Center comprises 14 buildings ranging from 3 to 15 stories, symmetrically designed along the north-south and east-west axes.

Currently, the exterior glass panels of the Political-Administrative Center are being installed, and the project’s other components are also being constructed and finalized.

Once completed, the new Political-Administrative Center will house all the Party, government, Fatherland Front, and socio-political organizations of Hai Phong City, except for the armed forces.

Adjacent to the Political-Administrative Center is the Conference and Performing Arts Center, with a total investment of over VND 2,300 billion.

The Conference and Performing Arts Center features three floors above ground and one basement, with a total floor area of nearly 50,000 m2 and a capacity of 1,500 seats.

The center also includes a multi-purpose hall with nearly 500 seats, a 100-seat roundtable meeting room, and over ten small meeting rooms with capacities ranging from 20 to 100 seats each. Once completed, the Conference and Performing Arts Center will host significant national and international conferences, seminars, and artistic performances.

These two projects, along with the Royal Island City, will become the focal points of the future development of the new Thuy Nguyen City.
