Following a review, VNX has discovered information on Facebook pages regarding impersonation and the use of its logo and images to advertise and invite people to join Zalo groups about stock trading. These groups feature images of well-known individuals like Mr. Can Van Luc and Mr. Pham Le Thai and go by names such as Stock Exchange, Investment Teaching, Stock Teaching Club, and Thai Pham.

VNX asserts that, as of now, the Vietnam Stock Exchange, along with Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange (HOSE) and Hanoi Stock Exchange (HNX), does not invite or encourage participation in any stock trading teaching programs or groups. VNX advises investors to be cautious and thoroughly research any invitations to join stock investment groups to avoid being scammed in stock trading activities.

Previously, the State Securities Commission of Vietnam (SSC) had also issued multiple warnings about incidents of impersonation of the commission. Similarly, several securities companies, including KIS Vietnam Securities and Vietcap, have cautioned investors about fake websites and social media accounts impersonating their official pages by using similar domain names, logos, and images to mislead investors.

The securities companies urge investors not to transfer money to personal accounts or share sensitive information with unclear entities. Yuanta Vietnam Securities and SSI Securities have also warned about the use of AI technology to impersonate company leaders in scam attempts.

The SSC recommends that people heighten their vigilance when receiving calls from unknown callers and exercise caution before joining any apps, forums, or groups related to stock investment.
