According to a report by the People’s Committee of Da Lat City, the unit is currently directing the Management Board of Investment Construction and Land Fund Development of Da Lat City to rush to direct the acceleration of investment and upgrading of infrastructure projects, urban embellishment projects that are being implemented, creating a smooth and open space, ensuring urban aesthetics and construction order before organizing the main activities of the 10th Da Lat Flower Festival.

In 2024, Da Lat City is focusing on implementing 10 traffic and technical infrastructure projects in the area, with the construction scope affecting 13 routes and many traffic junctions in the urban area of Da Lat City.

The construction units concentrate a large number of vehicles and workers to try to exceed the construction progress at the works.

Mr. Nguyen Nhat Thong, Deputy Director of the Project Management Board of Investment Construction and Land Fund Development of Da Lat City, Lam Dong province, shared: “At present, following the direction of the leaders of the People’s Committee of Lam Dong province and Da Lat city, we are focusing on directing contractors to increase labor and machinery to implement the projects to achieve the highest progress. Along with that, we also pay attention to the quality of construction and regularly inspect and direct the implementation of construction on the site.”

The first group includes projects that are expected to be completed before the 10th Da Lat Flower Festival: Asphalt paving of Nguyen Dinh Chieu, Suong Nguyet Anh, Nguyen Cong Tru, Nguyen Van Troi, and Xo Viet Nghe Tinh streets. We are rushing to complete these projects before December 2, 2024, to serve the 10th Flower Festival.

The second group includes projects such as Upgrading and Expanding Bui Thi Xuan Street, Phu Dong Thien Vuong Street, Hoang Van Thu Street, and Le Hong Phong Street; Improvement of some intersections in Da Lat city; these projects were just started in the third quarter of 2024 and have encountered difficulties in site clearance. Therefore, the construction progress will continue until 2025, and they cannot be completed before the 10th Da Lat Flower Festival. However, we will direct the contractors to clean up the site, ensure traffic needs, and improve the environment on these routes to serve the festival.

The construction units are trying to complete the road surface to serve the 10th Da Lat Flower Festival.

Among the above projects, the asphalt paving of Nguyen Dinh Chieu, Suong Nguyet Anh, Nguyen Cong Tru, Nguyen Van Troi, and Xo Viet Nghe Tinh streets, and the Upgrading and Widening of Khoi Nghia Bac Son Street are ahead of schedule compared to the construction contract (the construction contract is until the second quarter of 2025, but these projects will be basically completed in December 2024).

According to Mr. Nguyen Huu Huan, a resident of Ward 4, Da Lat City: “We are delighted to see that the city is paying attention to widening the roads to serve the Flower Festival. The 10th Da Lat Flower Festival in 2024 will be held in December 2024, officially opening on December 5 and closing on December 31. The Da Lat Flower Festival is held biennially and is a special highlight of this flower city that you should not miss.
