Jaguar has officially unveiled the first model of an entirely new era in the brand’s history.
Marking Jaguar’s transition to an all-electric era, the Concept, named Type 00, showcases the new design language of the British marque. Unlike the concept’s 2-door coupe body style, the production version of this vehicle will be unveiled as a 4-door sedan at the end of 2025.

The name Jaguar Type 00 Concept combines two zeros (indicating zero emissions and the concept’s position as the first model in the new lineup) with the word “Type,” reminiscent of iconic Jaguar models like the E-Type and F-Type.
While technical specifications remain limited, Jaguar has revealed that the Type 00 Concept rides on the company’s all-new JEA platform dedicated to electric vehicles. The expected range is an impressive 770 kilometers on the WLTP cycle. Rapid charging technology enables the battery to charge enough for a 320-kilometer range in just 15 minutes.

The focal point of the Jaguar Type 00 Concept is its bold new design language, which is sure to spark conversations and debates. This new aesthetic embraces minimalism, with the vehicle’s exterior dominated by clean, flat surfaces. The front features ultra-slim LED headlights and a rectangular frame, reminiscent of Rolls-Royce’s iconic design.
The rear continues the angular theme, featuring a distinctive element akin to a radiator grille with thin horizontal slats. The taillights are split into two distinct upper and lower strips, accentuated by the “grille” above. Notably, the concept lacks a rear window, adding to its mysterious allure.

Other design elements include a long bonnet, a compact passenger cabin positioned towards the rear, and miniature rear side windows, all of which draw inspiration from classic Jaguar models like the E-type coupe from the 1960s.
The interior of the new Jaguar, which has been partially revealed, notably lacks a digital screen. However, the brand explains that a screen is integrated into the dashboard and can be revealed with the press of a button.

Overall, while the exterior of the Jaguar Type 00 Concept is a bold statement, the interior, with its hidden screen mechanism, seems less practical and more of a design study.
Jaguar Type 00 Concept: Ushering in a New Era of Ultra-Luxury Electric Vehicles
The production version of the Jaguar Type 00 Concept will be unveiled at the end of 2025, with sales commencing in the first half of 2026. Two additional all-electric models, including an SUV, will join the lineup this decade, all featuring the brand’s new design language.
