Vivo has officially launched its latest upper-mid-range smartphone, the V40 5G, in the market. Collaborating with a prestigious global imaging brand is a strategy that some companies employ to enhance their products’ credibility, and for this device, Vivo has chosen Zeiss.

“By combining Vivo’s cutting-edge technologies with Zeiss’ expertise in optical lenses, the Vivo V40 5G promises to deliver an exceptional experience, from superior photography to smooth daily performance,” emphasized Ms. Nguyen Thu Huyen, Vivo Vietnam’s Marketing Director.

The camera is undoubtedly the biggest highlight of this device. It features a Zeiss OIS 50MP main camera, utilizing Samsung’s 1/1.56-inch Isocell GNJ sensor with an f/1.88 aperture, along with a Zeiss 50MP ultra-wide camera. Zeiss’ signature is evident in the multi-focus portrait shooting feature, integrating portrait focal lengths from 24mm to 50mm. There are also seven different Zeiss bokeh effects, such as Distagon and Biotar.

Video recording capabilities have been elevated with the inclusion of Zeiss Cinematic Video Bokeh technology, producing a unique, classic-style oval bokeh effect. Additionally, the Zeiss autofocus mode enables smoother subject focusing.

According to the company, the V40 5G also incorporates studio-quality lighting technology, providing precise and natural auxiliary lighting when shooting in low-light environments, thanks to AI algorithms. The Aura Ring feature, unique to Vivo devices, has been expanded to suit various scenarios. The device can also remove unwanted objects from photos using AI.

In terms of other specifications, the Vivo V40 5G is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 processor, paired with 12GB of RAM and expandable up to 12GB. It boasts a 3D curved AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 4,500 nits. The device is equipped with a 5,500mAh BlueVolt battery, which is said to offer 20% higher energy density compared to standard batteries. It supports 80W fast charging.

Despite packing a large-capacity battery, the phone maintains an impressive slim profile at just 7.58mm thick. It also meets the IP68 and 69 standards for dust and water resistance.

The Vivo V40 5G is exclusively available at The Gioi Di Dong stores, priced at VND 12,990,000, and went on sale starting December 1st.
