The renovation and expansion project of Alley 381 on Nguyen Khang Street (from Thanh Thai Street to Nguyen Khang Street) was approved by the Hanoi People’s Council for investment in 2015.

According to the design, the project is approximately 368 meters long, starting at the intersection with the 50-meter-wide planned Thanh Thai Street (belonging to Dich Vong New Urban Area) and ending at the intersection with Nguyen Khang Street.

To implement the project, Cau Giay District will have to acquire land from nearly 100 households. However, up to now, many households do not agree with the compensation price for the area to be acquired, causing the project to be stalled.

This section of the road is only about 400 meters long, with a narrow road width of only 3-5 meters. Many sections are already degraded and damaged.

The road surface is uneven, with bumps and potholes, making it very difficult for vehicles to move.

The end of Alley 381 on Nguyen Khang Street, which leads to Thanh Thai Street, is in the process of clearing the site…

…during rush hour, it is very difficult for people to move through here.

People traveling through Alley 381 on Nguyen Khang Street complain about the difficult movement, the dust when it’s sunny, and the mud when it rains.

Along this route, people dump trash illegally. From a small dump, it has become a large dump, polluting the environment and affecting the lives of surrounding residents.

If implemented as scheduled, the renovation and expansion project of Alley 381 on Nguyen Khang Street is expected to be completed by 2018. However, it has not been implemented yet, as the site clearance work is still unfinished.

Currently, 10 households have not agreed to the compensation policy, and some have requested adjustments to the road boundary related to the project.

Given the urgent need to address traffic congestion, the majority of residents hope that the renovation and expansion project of Alley 381 on Nguyen Khang Street will be implemented soon to ensure traffic safety, environmental hygiene, and social order in the area.
