The Oppo A3, a super durable smartphone, was officially launched in the Vietnamese market in late August 2024.

Inheriting the design of its higher-end counterparts, the A3 is equipped with a brand new chip and, most notably, is built to military-grade durability standards, promising a long-lasting performance of up to four years, as assured by Oppo.
In December 2024, for a price of under VND 5 million, Vietnamese customers could purchase the official Oppo A3, which boasts a military-grade shock resistance rating of MIL-STD 810H. The device has a SplashProof sensitivity level, allowing users to operate it even with wet hands. Its liquid resistance capability, SGS drop certification, and other modern features have impressed the tech world.
The Oppo A3 features a square design similar to other recently released Oppo models, including the Oppo A3x, Oppo Reno11 F 5G, Oppo A18, and Oppo A38. The device weighs approximately 189 grams.
In terms of appearance, the Oppo A3 sports a 6.67-inch display with a hole-punch design for the selfie camera, coupled with flat edges. It utilizes an IPS LCD panel with an HD+ resolution and supports a 90 Hz refresh rate. The device’s brightness is also remarkable, reaching 1,000 nits.
According to the manufacturer, the Oppo A3 is equipped with double-strengthened glass and an alloy frame that meets the US military’s MIL-STD 810H durability standard. It also holds a 5-star SGS certification, proving its resilience against impacts, drops, high temperatures, humidity, and other harsh conditions.
As such, the Oppo A3 is also water-resistant, a rare feature among devices in the same price range. According to Oppo, the A3 can resist multiple liquids, from sweat to water and food, without sustaining damage. It is also sand and dust resistant and has improved shock absorption upon impact.
In terms of rear camera configuration, the Oppo A3 boasts a 50 MP main camera and an 8 MP secondary camera, accompanied by an additional camera and an LED flash.
Under the hood, the Oppo A3 is powered by the Snapdragon 6s Gen 1 chip. This processor features eight cores, including four 2.1 GHz cores for demanding tasks and four 2.0 GHz cores for power efficiency during regular usage.
The device offers RAM options of 4/6/8 GB and internal storage choices of 64/128/256 GB. Additionally, its RAM expansion technology allows for doubling the RAM to 8 GB for enhanced smoothness when needed. The device also incorporates ColorOS 14’s Trinity Engine technology.
The Oppo A3 is equipped with a substantial 5,100 mAh battery, a relatively large capacity in today’s market. Moreover, it supports SuperVOOC 45 W fast charging, an impressive feature compared to competitors in the same segment.
