Lâm Đồng has withdrawn 114 projects, most of which are in Dam Rong and Da Huoai districts, involving road infrastructure and outside investment. This decision is based on the Land Law 2024, specifically Article 76, Clause 7, which states that if land retrieval or conversion has not been approved for two consecutive years, the competent authority must reconsider and possibly cancel the project.
Dam Rong district had the highest number of canceled projects at 48, primarily involving road infrastructure in rural and agricultural areas. The largest project in terms of land retrieval was the Tay Son area’s external road, requiring over 128 hectares.
Outside investment projects in Da Lat and Bao Loc cities were also canceled. In Da Lat, four projects by private companies were canceled, including wind power plants covering over 30 hectares each. In Duc Trong district, two new urban area projects were withdrawn, and in Bao Loc city, four residential and commercial projects were canceled.
The People’s Committee of Lam Dong province proposed the cancellation of these projects to the Provincial People’s Council after evaluations by district-level People’s Committees and the cities of Da Lat and Bao Loc. This decision ensures efficient land management and usage, as many projects were deemed either delayed or no longer suitable.
