The Management Board of Transport Infrastructure Investment and Construction Projects in Dong Nai Province announced that in December, they will commence the upgrading project of Provincial Road 25B and the construction of Provincial Road 25C to facilitate transportation connections for the Long Thanh International Airport, with its first phase expected to be operational by 2026. These two projects have been recently added to the list of key projects in the province.

The upgrading project of Provincial Road 25B, with a length of over 9.2 km passing through Long Thanh and Nhon Trach districts, has a total investment of nearly VND 1,500 billion. The construction project of Provincial Road 25C, more than 2 km long, connecting National Highway 51 and Huong Lo 19 in the same two districts, has a total investment of over VND 647 billion.

According to the Management Board, in the master plan of the Long Thanh International Airport project, Road T1 and Road T2 play a crucial role in connecting with the main transport axes in the region to ensure smooth transportation to and from the airport. Road T2 will connect to the Ho Chi Minh City – Long Thanh – Dau Giay Expressway to facilitate travel between the airport and Ho Chi Minh City, while Road T1 will link National Highway 51 and Provincial Roads 25B and 25C.

Provincial Roads 25B and 25C are designed to connect the Ben Luc – Long Thanh Expressway and Ring Road 3 of Ho Chi Minh City, thereby connecting the Long Thanh Airport with Ho Chi Minh City and provinces in the Mekong Delta region. This will also help alleviate traffic congestion on the already overloaded Ho Chi Minh City – Long Thanh – Dau Giay Expressway, for which expansion plans have not yet been implemented.
