On December 24, the Office of the Investigation Police Agency of Dong Nai Province, Vietnam, announced the prosecution and arrest of five individuals on charges of fraud and appropriation of assets.

The police seized numerous relevant documents during the search.
The accused include: Le Van Tuan (DOB: 1984, Chairman and General Director of Giang Dien Tourism Joint Stock Company); Le Ky Phung (DOB: 1958, former Chairman and General Director of Giang Dien Tourism Joint Stock Company); Nguyen Huynh (DOB: 1975, former General Director of Giang Dien Tourism Joint Stock Company); Vu Kim Dien (DOB: 1977, former General Director of Giang Dien Tourism Joint Stock Company); and Nguyen Duc Minh (DOB: 1976, former Deputy General Director of Giang Dien Tourism Joint Stock Company).
According to the investigation agency, from 2010 to 2018, Giang Dien Tourism Joint Stock Company signed approximately 1,267 land sale contracts with customers and investors, yielding a profit of over 1,000 billion VND (over $43 million).
Notably, the company had not received approval from authorized agencies for its investment plan and provided false information about the project’s legal status.
The Dong Nai Provincial Investigation Police Agency has requested that customers who have signed contracts with Giang Dien Tourism Joint Stock Company promptly contact their office.
