On December 23, according to Tien Phong PV’s records, the number of vehicles undergoing inspections at several centers, including 2903V, 2903S, 2906V, and 2902S, has surged again in recent days. In the waiting area, many vehicles were queued up in line.

Hanoi’s vehicle inspection centers experience a sudden surge in customers in the last month of the year.

At the 2903V inspection center, Mr. Nguyen Van Hai from Dich Vong Hau, Cau Giay, took a two-hour break in the morning to get his vehicle inspected early.

“My car’s inspection is not due until December 27, but anticipating the year-end rush, I arranged to have it inspected early in the week when it’s less crowded,” said Mr. Hai.

Mr. Tran Quoc Hoan, Deputy Director of the 2903V Inspection Center in Lang Thuong, Dong Da, stated that in December, the center inspects an average of 160-180 vehicles daily, reaching 90% of its inspection capacity. The majority of vehicles arrive at the beginning of the morning and afternoon shifts. Notably, on December 16, the center witnessed a sudden spike, inspecting 200 vehicles, which required overtime work from the staff to accommodate all the waiting cars.

“As the demand is high and mostly concentrated at the start of the morning and afternoon shifts, customers have to wait, causing traffic congestion at the station. However, from 3:00 p.m. onwards, the number of vehicles decreases,” said Mr. Hoan.

In a conversation with Tien Phong PV, Mr. Vi Hong Huy, Director of the 2906V Inspection Center in Tam Hiep, Thanh Tri, shared: “In the last month of the year, the number of people bringing their vehicles for inspection at our center has increased by 20% compared to previous months, reaching 70% capacity. Currently, we inspect approximately 140 vehicles daily, mostly trucks.”

The 2902S center in Yen Vien, Gia Lam district, has also witnessed an increase in vehicles for inspection during this year-end period. According to the center’s representative, they inspect around 120 vehicles daily, higher than the same period last year. However, with four inspection lines, they can still manage the workload effectively.

According to the inspection centers, the number of vehicles reaching their centers is currently at 70-90% of their inspection capacity. Although the demand for vehicle inspections has rebounded, it is expected to remain at this level until the end of the year, making it unlikely to cause an overload.
