According to statistics from Forbes magazine, as of the end of 2024, Vietnam has six businessmen on the list of USD billionaires.
The six representatives from Vietnam remain familiar names, including: Mr. Pham Nhat Vuong (Chairman of Vingroup, CEO of VinFast), Ms. Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao (Chairman of VietJet), Mr. Tran Dinh Long (Chairman of Hoa Phat Group), Mr. Ho Hung Anh (Chairman of Techcombank), Mr. Nguyen Dang Quang (Chairman of Masan Group), and Mr. Tran Ba Duong (Chairman of Thaco).
These six individuals were also on the 2024 Forbes list of world billionaires, ranked according to individual asset values based on stock prices and exchange rates as of March 10.
As of December 29, 2024, billionaire Pham Nhat Vuong has an estimated net worth of $4.1 billion, ranking him 833rd on the list of world billionaires.
Ranking second among the Vietnamese USD billionaires is businesswoman Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao, Vice Chairman of HDBank, and Vice Chairman and CEO of VietJet Air. Thao has a net worth of $2.9 billion and is ranked 1,202nd globally.
Chairman Tran Dinh Long’s net worth is estimated at $2.4 billion, placing him at 1,404th in the world billionaires list.
Techcombank Chairman Ho Hung Anh has a net worth of $1.8 billion and is ranked 1,836th in the world.
Chairman Tran Ba Duong maintains his fifth position among Vietnamese USD billionaires with a net worth of $1.2 billion, unchanged from when Forbes released its list in March 2024.
Compared to the Forbes ranking in March 2024, the net worth of Chairman Nguyen Dang Quang of Masan Group decreased by $200 million to $1 billion. Chairman Quang is ranked 2,699th on the list of world billionaires.
