The project was approved by the Department of Transport in 2018 with a total investment of over VND 237 billion, with the Transport Infrastructure Board as the investor. This cost does not include the land clearance fee of VND 995 billion, which was carried out by the Bình Tân District Land Compensation and Clearance Board, affecting 380 cases, including 372 households and 8 organizations.
The project commenced in March 2023, with the starting point at the Bình Long intersection and the endpoint at the Mã Lò intersection; the urban road was widened from 7-8m to 30m, providing 6 lanes for vehicles.
Additionally, the project included the construction of a rainwater and wastewater drainage system, greenery, lighting, technical channels, and a complete traffic organization system.

According to Mr. Lương Minh Phúc, the operation of this infrastructure will connect with the Tân Kỳ – Tân Quý Bridge project, with a cost of nearly VND 500 billion, which is currently under construction and expected to be completed by January 20, 2025. This combination will form a transportation axis connecting National Highway 1 to the city center and Tân Sơn Nhất Airport.
This route contributes to reducing traffic congestion in the area and gradually completes the development of Ho Chi Minh City’s transportation network for economic and social development in the coming time.
