The Real Estate Market Rebound: Companies Recover and Reward
The real estate market in 2022-2023 was subdued, with many businesses facing challenges and forced to lay off thousands of employees. Fast forward to 2024, and the market has gradually recovered, with companies hiring additional staff to boost their operations.
The story of Tet bonuses has also brought some surprises. Aside from the 13th-month salary, some companies are offering lavish incentives, including cars and luxury phones, to employees who meet or exceed their KPIs, with less than three weeks left until Tet Nguyen Dan 2025.
Mr. Nguyen Anh Que, Chairman of G6 Group, shared that their business performance improved in 2024, with employees closing more deals. As a result, the company plans to offer better Tet bonuses than the previous year.
Mr. Que mentioned that office staff would receive the 13th-month salary as a bonus. Depending on the employees’ contributions throughout the year, the company will provide bonuses ranging from a few million to several dozen million dong.
However, the sales team will have KPI-based incentives. Notably, the company is running a 45-day campaign until Tet Nguyen Dan, with iPhones and cars as rewards for employees who achieve or surpass their targets.

At Dat Xanh Mien Bac, Mr. Vu Cuong Quyet, the CEO, revealed that in 2023, the company had to downsize significantly to stay afloat. However, in 2024, they increased their headcount by 60-70%.
“Dat Xanh Mien Bac in Hanoi and its subsidiaries have witnessed a significant increase in staff. In Hanoi alone, we’ve gone from 300-350 people to around 550-600 employees. Across the Northern system, including subsidiaries, we now have over a thousand employees,” said Mr. Quyet.
According to the leader of Dat Xanh Mien Bac, the real estate market recovered in the second quarter of 2024, performing better than the previous year. This improvement also benefited many businesses, including their company.
“Therefore, in addition to the 13th-month salary, we will offer deserving bonuses to our employees based on their KPI performance,” Mr. Quyet added.
While the exact figures are yet to be finalized, Mr. Quyet disclosed that their employees would receive better Tet bonuses this year compared to the previous year, including monthly salaries and incentives.
Recalling 2023, the leadership of Khang Land Group had to downsize their staff and branches due to the challenging market conditions and low real estate liquidity. However, in 2024, they have started hiring again in preparation for their 2025 plans.
Regarding this year’s Tet bonuses, Mr. Nguyen Vu Cao, Chairman of Khang Land’s Board of Directors, shared with us: “For the administrative and accounting staff, we will offer the 13th-month salary as a bonus. For our sales team, we have performance-based incentives.”
“For instance, if an employee achieves a monthly sales target of 4 billion dong and surpasses the annual target of 50 billion dong, they will receive a bonus of approximately 100 million dong on top of their salary and commissions,” Mr. Cao explained.
Mr. Cao also provided insights into the company’s business plans for 2025, focusing on the Ho Chi Minh City market and surrounding areas, including Nha Trang and Da Nang. In the North, they will concentrate on Hanoi, Hung Yen, Bac Giang, Bac Ninh, Hai Phong, and Quang Ninh.
The urban land plot and apartment segments are the two key areas the company will target.
Although the law does not mandate Tet bonuses, they have become a tradition reflecting the responsibility and solidarity of business owners. Especially during challenging times, employees greatly appreciate this extra compensation.
Despite the real estate market’s improvement in 2024, with rising prices, it still faced difficulties in terms of liquidity and supply. Consequently, many businesses shared that they could only afford to give their employees the 13th-month salary as a Tet bonus in 2025.
They hope that 2025 will bring better market conditions, increased transactions, and brighter business prospects, enabling them to offer more generous Tet bonuses to their employees in the following year.
