Apple’s latest wireless earbuds, the AirPods 4 and AirPods 4 ANC, were released in September 2024, offering design and feature improvements over their predecessors. Both models are equipped with the H2 chip, enhancing audio processing performance and connectivity. The earbuds also feature a shorter stem design and a more compact charging case with a USB-C port for added convenience and a modern look.

One standout feature of the AirPods 4 is Adaptive Audio, which customizes sound based on the user’s environment. Combined with Spatial Audio, it delivers an immersive 3D audio experience for music and movies. The AirPods 4 ANC model takes it a step further with active noise cancellation (ANC) and Transparency mode, offering flexibility for different usage scenarios.

Both models boast impressive battery life. The AirPods 4 offers up to 7 hours of continuous usage and up to 36 hours with the charging case, while the AirPods 4 ANC provides up to 6 hours of usage and a total of 30 hours with the case.

Pricing and Year-End Promotions
Initially, the AirPods 4 was priced at VND 3.49 million for the standard version and VND 4.79 million for the AirPods 4 ANC. However, during year-end promotions, deep discounts were offered on e-commerce platforms, especially Shopee, bringing the prices down to VND 2.8 million and VND 3.6 million, respectively.
To take advantage of these discounted prices, users need to make their purchases during Shopee’s major sale days, such as the upcoming 20th or 25th. By applying Shopee’s discount codes, which offer 12% to 15% off, and utilizing bank payment promotions, such as VND 350,000 off for orders over VND 3.5 million or VND 250,000 off for orders between VND 2 million and VND 2.5 million, shoppers can enjoy significant savings.

These prices are the lowest ever for the AirPods 4 since its launch in Vietnam in September last year, making it an attractive and affordable option for Vietnamese consumers. With its reasonable price and upgraded features, the AirPods 4 is expected to cater to a wide range of users, especially with the ANC model’s noise-canceling capabilities, enhancing the listening experience in various situations.
According to the IDC Worldwide Quarterly Wearable Device Tracker (Q1 2024), Apple remains the leader in the global wearable device market, with the AirPods line contributing significantly to its sales performance. In Q1 2024, Apple shipped 20.6 million units, capturing an 18.2% global market share. Despite a 18.8% year-over-year decline in AirPods sales due to economic pressures and a lack of significant upgrades, it remains the world’s most popular wireless earbud brand.

These figures highlight the strong appeal of AirPods in the premium segment, despite competition from brands like Xiaomi and Huawei. IDC attributes the success of AirPods to its seamless integration within the Apple ecosystem, including iPhone and Apple Watch, giving it a competitive edge.
