Unlike many cars being discounted to boost sales during the Lunar New Year 2025, some imported models have seen price increases by distributors since the beginning of the year, surprising many consumers. Notably, the Honda Civic Type R has witnessed a significant price hike of VND 600 million.

Honda Vietnam’s official website updated the selling price of the Civic Type R to VND 2.999 billion in early January 2025, a substantial increase from the previous price. This sports model, imported directly from Japan, is not readily available at dealerships. Instead, customers must place a deposit and wait for delivery, making it highly sought-after since its official import.

Globally, the Honda Civic Type R hasn’t received any upgrades or updates, but it remains one of the highly-rated sports cars by experts and consumers alike, given its price point.

GAC Motor also announced a price adjustment for the GAC M6 Pro from 2025, as previously disclosed. Specifically, both the 1.5T GS and 1.5T GL versions increased by VND 51 million, now priced at VND 750 million and VND 850 million, respectively. This model is imported from China and distributed in Vietnam by TC Services, a member of the Tan Chong Group.

Notably, at the beginning of the year, Toyota adjusted the prices of several imported models, including the MPV Alphard, which saw the most significant increase. The pearl white and golden brown colors of the Alphard are now VND 4.53 billion and VND 4.635 billion for the regular and HEV versions, respectively, representing a VND 149 million surge. Meanwhile, the black color option also witnessed a similar price adjustment, with an increase of VND 140 million.

Additionally, the large SUV models, the Land Cruiser LC300 and Land Cruiser Prado, experienced a VND 9 million increase for the pearl white color option, bringing their prices to VND 4.306 billion and VND 3.5 billion, respectively. Toyota Hilux and Corolla Cross followed suit, with an VND 8 million increase for the red color option, matching the price of the pearl white choice.

Toyota Vietnam also adjusted the price of the Innova Cross, adding VND 15 million to both versions. This imported MPV from Indonesia is now priced at VND 825 million for the regular model and VND 1.005 billion for the HEV version. Notably, the pearl white color option of the Innova Cross remains VND 8 million more expensive than the other colors.
