Colonel Ngo Minh Thuấn, CEO of Tan Cang Sai Gon Corporation, reported that in 2024, Tan Cang Sai Gon completed its production and business plan excellently 40 days ahead of schedule. The total container throughput reached 10.81 million Teus (up 10.1%), equivalent to nearly 160 million tons of cargo; total revenue reached VND 32,000 billion (up 15.6%); total profit was nearly VND 7,000 billion (up 32.5%); and contributed VND 2,672 billion to the state budget (up 28%). The market share of import and export container exploitation through the Corporation’s ports reached 55.2% nationwide.

Tan Cang Sai Gon also contributed with higher responsibility to society and the community, with nearly VND 100 billion for mass mobilization, and building and repairing houses as planned by the Government, the Ministry of Defense, and the Navy.
To serve the production activities during the Tet holiday of the Year of the Tiger 2025, at Tan Cang – Cat Lai Port, each shift had more than 1,100 direct laborers managing, operating, and serving the production.
In the first week of the Lunar New Year, the port welcomed 76 vessel calls, with a throughput of 110,000 Teus, equivalent to more than 1.5 million tons of cargo (up 9% compared to the same period last year).

“On New Year’s Eve alone, the port handled 7 container vessel calls, with a total throughput of nearly 10,000 Teus (equivalent to 140,000 tons of cargo), indicating a positive sign for the recovery of the Vietnamese economy in 2025,” said Colonel Ngo Minh Thuấn.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Phan Văn Mãi, Chairman of the HCMC People’s Committee, highly appreciated the achievements and contributions of Tan Cang Sai Gon to the development of the city. He also expressed his hope that Tan Cang Sai Gon would continue to develop and make breakthroughs, contributing more to the economic recovery that the country and the city are promoting.
