A glimpse of Phu Quoc City

In Decision No. 195/QD-TTg, the Prime Minister recognized Rach Gia City as a first-class urban area, directly under Kien Giang Province.

The scope of Rach Gia’s urban area includes the entire current administrative boundary of Rach Gia City. The inner-city area comprises all 10 wards (An Binh, An Hoa, Rach Soi, Vinh Hiep, Vinh Lac, Vinh Loi, Vinh Quang, Vinh Thanh, Vinh Thanh Van, and Vinh Thong), while the outer area includes the entire administrative boundary of Phi Thong commune.

In Decision No. 199/QD-TTg, the Prime Minister recognized Phu Quoc City as a first-class urban area, directly under Kien Giang Province.

The scope of this recognition includes the entire current administrative boundary of Phu Quoc City. The proposed inner-city area includes all two wards (An Thoi and Duong Dong) and six communes (Ham Ninh, Duong To, Ganh Dau, Cua Can, Cua Duong, and Bai Thom). The outer area comprises the entire administrative boundary of Tho Chau commune.

These decisions took effect on the date of their issuance, January 21, 2025.
