CTCP VNG (Stock Code: VNZ) recently released its consolidated financial statements for the fourth quarter of 2024, reporting a slight increase in revenue to 2,613 billion VND. Gross profit reached 982 billion VND, a remarkable 30% surge compared to the previous year. However, due to provisions for losses on investments in associated companies and asset impairment, VNG incurred a post-tax loss of over 421 billion VND.

Looking at the full year, VNG narrowed its post-tax loss from 2,317 billion VND in 2023 to 1,018 billion VND. This marks the third consecutive year of losses exceeding 1,000 billion VND for the company.

Cao su Phước Hòa (PHR) posted impressive results with a 46% year-on-year increase in pre-tax profit, reaching 268 billion VND for the fourth quarter. For the full year, their pre-tax profit stood at 556 billion VND, a decrease of 30%.

DNP Holding (DNP) recorded a pre-tax profit of over 60 billion VND for the fourth quarter, an astounding 172 times increase compared to the same period last year. Their post-tax profit reached 69 billion VND, 33 times higher year-on-year. For the full year, DNP Holding’s post-tax profit neared 193 billion VND, reflecting a 51% improvement from 2023.

Digiworld (DGW) witnessed a 21% year-on-year surge in net revenue, amounting to 5,859 billion VND for the fourth quarter. Their post-tax profit for the quarter stood at 146 billion VND, a substantial 62% increase. Digiworld’s full-year post-tax profit reached nearly 449 billion VND, representing a 24% growth compared to the previous year.
