Moon House, a residential project located in the Nam Hòa Xuân urban area of Da Nang, has captivated many with its unique design inspired by the crescent moon.

The house features a curved façade with intricate tile patterns, creating an aesthetic accent while providing shade from the west-facing sun. This design also ensures natural ventilation and lighting.

Designed and constructed by SBS House, the property sits on a 5 x 21-meter plot with a total built-up area of 274 square meters. The young homeowner family desired a modern living space that stood out while remaining connected to nature and embracing a softer architectural aesthetic.

To fulfill this vision, the architects crafted a bold façade with strategic setbacks, complemented by a spacious porch and lush greenery. This design not only reduces heat radiation but also enhances the interior’s sense of spaciousness. At night, the skillfully positioned lighting accentuates the home’s refined and striking appearance.

Inside Moon House, a rustic interior style contrasts fascinatingly with the modern exterior. The furnishings are minimalist in design, featuring natural materials such as wood, honed stone, and concrete paint, evoking a sense of warmth and coziness. The living spaces are thoughtfully arranged to provide comfort and cater to the young family’s daily needs.

Each space blends modern aesthetics with a touch of rustic charm

A key design element is the incorporation of ample greenery and open spaces. The architects skillfully integrated a central and rear courtyard, along with a diverse array of plants.

As a result, the residents can relish in natural lighting, fresh air, and the soothing sound of flowing water, offering a tranquil retreat from the stresses of daily life. The subtle infusion of natural elements within the living spaces strikes a perfect balance between modern architecture and serene tranquility.

While the sun symbolizes brilliance and intensity, the moon evokes a sense of tranquility and gentleness. Moon House beautifully encapsulates this spirit in its architecture, providing a sanctuary of peace for its residents to retreat to from the chaos of daily life.

This project stands as a testament to the harmonious fusion of modern aesthetics and poetic subtlety, creating a living space that is distinctively captivating yet retains a sense of warmth and familiarity for those who call it home.
