Sonadezi Chau Duc JSC also announced that in addition to the cases of road usage service charge exemption as regulated, the project will also offer discounted tickets for households directly affected when passing through the Dong Khoi Toll Station belonging to the BOT Road 768 project.
Accordingly, the condition to be eligible for a 100% ticket price reduction when traveling through the Dong Khoi Toll Station is that the households must be registered as permanent residents in Tan Phong and Trang Dai wards in Bien Hoa City and must be the vehicle owners. Bus vehicles traveling through the toll station on Dong Khoi Road are also subject to ticket price reductions.
The BOT Road 768 project is invested by Sonadezi Chau Duc JSC in the form of a public-private partnership, with a build-operate-transfer (BOT) contract. The scale of the BOT Thuong Province Road 768 project includes a system of three routes with a total length of nearly 24km (improvement and expansion of 17km of Road 768 from Gac Nai Junction to the road leading to Thu Bien Bridge; construction of a new road leading to Thu Bien Bridge on the Dong Nai side (including a part of Road 768 under the bridge with a length of about 540m and the road leading to Thu Bien Bridge with a length of about 324m); investment in improving Dong Khoi Road from Tan Phong Junction to Road 768 with a length of over 6km and the Thien Tan Water Plant Road. The total investment of the project is over VND 530 billion. The project was started in 2010 and began collecting fees in November 2010 to recoup the investment for the investor, and four BOT toll stations have been put into operation.
From January 2021, the project temporarily stopped collecting fees to install a non-stop electronic toll collection (ETC) system as required by the Government.
In late 2024, the People’s Committee of Dong Nai Province issued a decision approving the adjustment of the BOT Thuong Province Road 768 project: not investing in Road 768B, excluding the Thien Tan Water Plant Road from the project, and supplementing the automatic non-stop toll collection system. After completing the installation of the automatic non-stop toll collection system, the investor is allowed to continue collecting fees to recoup the investment for the project.
