On May 8, Starbucks Vietnam officially opened its new store on the 1st floor of the Hanoi Post Office building, located at 87 Dinh Tien Hoang, Trang Tien Ward, Hoan Kiem District, Hanoi. The store occupies a prime location with two frontages adjacent to Dinh Tien Hoang and Dinh Le streets, offering direct views of Hoan Kiem Lake and proximity to the book street – a hub of commerce, tourism, and culture in the capital city.

According to batdongsan.com, rental prices in this area currently range around VND 260 million per month, placing it among the most expensive in Hanoi. Starbucks’ decision to open a store here underscores its strategy of prioritizing central locations with high symbolic value and heavy foot traffic.

The Hanoi Post Office Starbucks store combines French colonial architecture with Vietnamese cultural elements in its design. Notable features include a ceiling that mimics the shape of conical hats, artistic colored glass, and curves that evoke the image of Hoan Kiem Lake. The outdoor area provides an open seating space, catering to customers seeking relaxation and a view.

Starbucks entered the Vietnamese market in 2013 and reached the milestone of 100 stores by the end of 2023. In 2024 and early 2025, the chain continued its expansion, including premium models such as Starbucks Reserve at Bitexco, Ho Chi Minh City, to enhance customer experiences and attract a high-end clientele.

The Hanoi Post Office store is the third Starbucks location in the heart of Hoan Kiem District, following Tràng Tiền Plaza and the Opera House. With its dual frontage, convenient transportation, and direct view of Hoan Kiem Lake, the new store is expected to become a popular destination for both locals and tourists alike.
