As per the agreement, Vietjet will transfer 50 Boeing 737 aircraft to Vietjet Thailand as part of a previously signed contract for 200 aircraft between Vietjet and Boeing. The first deliveries are expected as early as October 2025, enabling Vietjet Thailand to significantly expand its domestic and international routes, particularly connecting destinations between Vietnam and Thailand.

“We are proud to partner with Vietjet and Vietjet Thailand to expand the presence of the Boeing 737 in Vietnam and Thailand,” said Ms. Penny Burtt, Boeing Regional President. “Together, we aim to connect communities and drive economic growth, paving the way for a prosperous future in Vietnam, Thailand, and Southeast Asia, a region with very dynamic growth.”
Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao, President of Vietjet, remarked at the event: “The transfer of 50 modern and efficient Boeing 737-8 aircraft to Vietjet Thailand underscores Vietjet’s long-term commitment to the sustainable development of regional aviation. We will act to implement the ‘Triple Connection’ strategy between the two countries, encompassing supply chain, business, and local connections.”

Additionally, Boeing will provide comprehensive technical support services to Vietjet Thailand, including pilot and engineer training, maintenance, and product services, to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the new aircraft fleet in the Thai market.
This new cooperation agreement signifies a significant step forward in the extensive and effective collaboration between Vietnamese, Thai, and American businesses, with a shared priority for digital transformation, sustainable development, and bridging the development gap between nations.
