In recent times, several social media platforms have circulated misinformation about “fake chicken eggs” and “double-yolk chicken eggs.”

Social media spreads baseless rumors about fake chicken eggs.

This has caused confusion and concern among consumers and negatively impacted the domestic poultry egg industry.

According to the Vietnam Poultry Association, the farmgate price of chicken eggs, which was already below production costs by 1,400-1,500 VND/egg, has now dropped further to 1,200-1,300 VND/egg.

Moreover, production and trading facilities face significant challenges in product consumption. Many egg-producing businesses and households are facing heavy losses and the risk of bankruptcy.

The Vietnam Poultry Association states that, to date, there is no scientific evidence globally of successfully producing artificial eggs with characteristics identical to natural chicken eggs.

In reality, neither in the past nor presently, have artificial eggs been detected in the Vietnamese market.

Therefore, the Vietnam Poultry Association asserts that the information spreading on social media about the production of artificial chicken eggs in Vietnam is entirely fabricated.

The Vietnam Poultry Association urges relevant authorities to investigate, verify, and strictly handle individuals or entities spreading false information about chicken eggs. Such acts not only cause public concern but also inflict substantial damage on the poultry industry.
