The live performance, “The Quest for the Jewel,” features advanced multimedia technology, showcasing the finest cultural and historical values passed down through generations. It tells the story of sacred legends and celebrates the rich cultural heritage of Quang Ninh. Audiences are treated to a multi-sensory experience with a state-of-the-art sound and light system, leaving a lasting impression.
The performance seamlessly blends stage arts with dance and acrobatics, directed and advised by veterans in the industry: Director Le Thanh Phong; Advisor Prof. Dr. Nguyen The Ky, Chairman of the Central Theory and Literature and Arts Criticism Council; Director and People’s Artist Le Chuc; People’s Artists Hoang Quynh Mai and Tong Toan Thang; Music Director and People’s Artist Nguyen Huynh Tu; Dance Director Le Viet; Circus Director Merited Artist Ngo Le Thang, and a talented cast of professionals.

People’s Artist Le Chuc shared, “Hang Ngoc Rong (Dragon Pearl Cave) is a unique and unparalleled stage, where cultural values can be integrated to elevate natural heritage and create an appealing tourism product. ‘The Quest for the Jewel’ is suitable for all audiences, especially international visitors. Hang Ngoc Rong is destined to become a cultural destination.”
Prof. Dr. Nguyen The Ky, Vice Chairman of the Central Theory Council and a renowned cultural expert, shared, “The combination of sound and light enhances the grandeur of nature. This will attract both domestic and international tourists. The performance also promotes Quang Ninh and Vietnam as a tourism destination and contributes to the cultural industry. I believe that with our capabilities, we will deliver even better and more captivating programs for our audience.”
Mr. Nguyen Hong Nhat, General Director of APC Corporation, the company coordinating the light snack tour and the performance at Hang Ngoc Rong, shared that they have begun addressing existing issues by removing previous interventions that were not in harmony with the landscape and relics, taking into account the feedback from management agencies, specialists, and the press.
The program is part of Quang Ninh’s plan to develop new tourism products. The provincial People’s Committee issued Decision No. 3398/QD-UBND on August 31, 2017, recognizing tourism sites in Cam Pha city, including the historical and scenic site of Vung Duc in Cam Dong ward.
To ensure compliance with regulations and provide a better experience for visitors, the province is working on an exploitation plan, a narration script, and investment solutions for the site’s development. These efforts aim to meet the needs of both local people and tourists.
The development of new tourism products in Cam Pha aims to expand the tourism space, connecting Ha Long Bay and Bai Tu Long Bay along one of Vietnam’s most beautiful coastal roads. This will enhance the visitor experience, contribute to attracting more tourists to Quang Ninh, and support the province in achieving its target of welcoming 20 million visitors in 2025. It also plays a crucial role in attaining the province’s economic growth target of 14% for this year and the following years.
